I'm expecting mostly release dates tomorrow which is a disappointment. I expect a ho hum event from Sony with dates for GT6, PS4, some other upcoming titles, indie titles for Vita, Vita bundles, and other mediocre (Batman?!? We already saw that at E3!) news. I guess their big news is PS4 date which I don't really care if its Oct or Nov.

I'm thinking they've seen the pre order numbers and its coke and hookers all round. Don't expect much new' Sony take their time to wind up a head of steam.

Yeah but they are thinking long term. Everyone who hasn't preordered needs new games to convince them to buy a console in the future.

Plus everyone who has preordered are all potential customers for more future games. The more future games they show, the more money they can achieve by showing them.

If there is one thing certain about this generation, the race between Sony and MS is going to be MUCH tighter. This gen, MS had a huge advantage. A year extra, Sony's $599, the botched PS3 E3, "PS3 has no games", PS3 games running worse than the Xbox, PS3 UI being terrible, etc etc.

Now? They are starting on really even footing. PS3 at $399, MS with TitanFall and DLC, releasing nearly together, etc etc. I can not see the PS4 doing as poorly compared to the Xbone as the PS3 did compared to the 360. Yeah, PS3 made up some ground, but never really reached parity in terms of sales.

I wonder how the non-factor of the WiiU is going to affect the next gen. I mean, this gen, the Wii just fucking destroyed everything. People were gobbling that shit up. At this point in time, there are really only 2 players instead of 3, unless Nintendo pulls a miracle with the WiiU.

Don't forget the other people who would want to get it earlier. It's going to end up being a timed exclusive (on next-gen consoles) if the ps4 launches earlier.

Do you already own a vita? I can see a price drop spurring sales. I also would like to see a price drop so more people can see the great games that are available on the vita. The price drop needs to accompany bigger memory cards and a drop in memory card prices

399 PS4 and Titanfall are even footing now? In what world?

PS3 never reached parity in terms of sales? Haven't we heard reports of PS3 being in second place now?

I think a lot of us don't see this coming gen anywhere close to as tight as this gen was.
