Yep. The anime not having a pregnant Taiga ending is indeed a hole that needs to be filled expediently.

So, I decided to read a random, newer chapter of Gintama this morning. As always Gin has the best advice.

*I hope this show comes back...*

Admittedly, his hat has a black ribbon on it.

Hmmm. That doesnt put him on Sawa's level. It only means he has awesome taste in hats.

Endless Eight was brilliant.

After the first series all I wanted was more of the same. Endless Eight delivered just that.

Youre a master of your craft.

angel beats ep 1-13 END

Man this show was surprisingly awesome. I had this aversion to it because of the title and I thought it was going to be some music anime, but it's not the case at all. The characters were great and my only complaints about the series is -- well, the way they present the characters in some scenes looks like amateur fan art and we didn't get to know a lot of the characters -- most notably T.K. and Shiina. Would've been great if there was more of a backstory on Kanade as well. and I love the OP and ED and how they change according to the cast that's present as well. The last eps had some emotional stuff, but nothing that's on ano hana's level. Highly recommended! Thanks to gaf for constantly praising it -- which peaked my curiosity. Don't think I would've ever have watched it otherwise.

Edit: Just looked into buying the blu ray and found out there's an ova? awesome! More angel beats!

Angel Beats is the show animegaf loves to hate (besides SAO)
Its honestly not THAT bad. Its silly and poorly executed, but its entertaining and has excellent music.

Is this some clever meta answer about us always being inside Endless Eight or did you just forget that Hyouka came after both Haruhi seasons?
Endless Eight was the wheels coming off and the train starting to crash. The backflips the train performs mid-crash, whilst impressive, are still part of the crash.

So, really, Kanata needs to be Trigger levels of great to convince me they're not fucking around anymore.

Fuck this is like the Tuxedo mask is evil arc all over again.
Hopefully they resolve this corruption BS pretty soon though realistically, since this was 3 seasons originally it will probably take them like 5 more episodes DVD time?

Don't be mistaken , the main character isn't who you think it is.
This ending was alright ... but barely ... this show was a cool premise but failed in what could have been a nice focus for everyone..

But the theme of friendship still worked BUT i kinda expected ..something else..... i dunno how to put it , it was an ok ending , but i think i'll forget about this anime plot soon ..great girls to watch , nice stories , but the pay-off wasn't enough

How do you like my teamwork x3 ??
What the anime should have been :
-Card battles with girls , with a tale of friendship in between with or without serious themes

What the anime was :
-Girls in cards , with extra frienship at some points.

Best character was the main character mother.
Overall i can't help but think that this was a wasted opportunity.

Late to the roundups, but still:

Servant x Service is a pretty damn good anime, y'all. After a somewhat shaky first couple of episodes, the comedy was spot on and the characters showed a surprising amount of development. Thumbs up from me.

Meanwhile, things wot I bought: went to Glasgow Comic Con last month, and picked up the first half of Steins;Gate for about £18. Went on Amazon, found they were selling it for £17. [/facepalm] Pre-ordered the second half for £16.50, and it's released today. Crappy phone photos ahoy:

I opened the second half to check that I didn't get a damaged copy and noticed something odd:

Well played, Manga Entertainment.

Trigger-levels of great? Wtf? Trigger makes Little Witch Academia and everyone thinks they're Studio Ghibli now? I'd wait after Kill La Kill airs before declaring Yoh Yoshinari the next Miyazaki.

They made Inferno Cop. If that's not greatness, I don't know what is.

Mushibugyo 26 [end]

Phenomenal ending for this typically average series. Somehow everything done here raised my whole opinion on the anime and just left me wanting a bit more.

Hi ougi spam there with Jinbei and then the Tsukishima Style: Mf Fuji Meteor Drop was so epic and drool inducing cool. Thats always one of the best moves in any medium and it looked fantastic fading to the black and white drawing style.
.

Good shounen action series that had its moments, a bit too romancy at times though, but otherwise was a good ride. 7/10.

Ive heard good things about the series from several people and my initial impressions from episode 1 were pretty positive. Will continue it for sure!

Well played, Manga Entertainment.

So jelly of that cover. but if I can find a decently sized clean version of it (hint hint you guys) I will be happy.
Well at least you scored an EXCELLENT series.

Here's my personal breakdown for the coming season.

Maximum Hype
Kyoukai No Kanata
Kill La Kill
Persona 3 movie

Moderate Hype
Tokyo Ravens
Yozakura Quartet
Samurai Flamenco (Maybe? I need to see something animated! Damn)
Patema Inverted

Second Coming of God Hype
Infinite Stratos 2

What ever happened with that one anime where Jesus and Buddha were bros? Did that release? I really wanted to watch that.

Final AOTY voting:

1. Kill la Kill
2. Little Witch Academia
3. Inferno Cop
4. Turning Girls
5. Little Witch Academia 2 Kickstarter Video
6 - 10. Shit

Maturity, bitches.
Also I have proposed the rule that if you vote less than 10 shows in the AotY thread your highest ranking show will only be awarded points equal to the number of shows you voted for. Thus someone coming in and only voting for one show will only give that show one point.

Cos quite frankly how can they say that is AotY if they haven't compared it to anything else.

Infinite Stratos: 11 & 12 (END)

Well, that was certainly a fun show. Very good show, actually. Kinda surprised about that. Well developed characters given the show length. All the IS battles were very fun to watch. And of course, the Harem lives on...

Stage 3of grief over the fact attack on Titan will win anime of the year. Trying to bargain a way it won't win

I prefer to call it nipping a problem in the bud.

If I really wanted to ensure AoT didn't win I just make a list of nominations narrowed down by a judging panel made up of me, myself and I and just leave it off of that list.

Also I can't skip to stage three and I haven't even entered stage one. Thing is while one should punish one show votes in some way, the truth is most don't even vote in the thread. Even when I tried to encourage people to vote for Sword Art Online people didn't vote in the thread. Like always we'll outnumber the non-AnimeGAF votes. Oh and don't try to be clever and say this is denial. Only when votes come in can we start seeing if AoT has any chance of winning at which point denial can be a thing. At the moment it's just probabilities and statistics.
