WATXM omnibus is really tempting, especially if the series ends well. I don't think i will spend that money though considering i have 12-42 with my digital codes, even though the first 8 issues were the best. It's too uneven for me to reallllllllly be sold on it. I can't see myself rereading the avengers vs x-men tie-ins, frankenstein arc, or dog arc, and that's a big chunk in the middle of the run. If anyone here hasn't read it though, at $50 IST pricing it would get a soft recommendation.

I'm running out of things i want in omnibus format after Uncanny X-Force and whenever the second volume of Hickman Fantastic Four/FF comes out. Daredevil and Hawkguy both get nice OHC collections too which i'm picking up. I could see Aaron's Thor making a nice omnibus.

It's Sunday! Time for 2/5/14 Listpocalypse

Punisher is heading to LA and isn't Daredevil heading there also? Pretty stoked on Punisher. The art looks amazing, if nothing else.

Ms. Marvel #1
Rat Queens back issues
maybe Black Widow #2 and 3
maybe Punisher #1

I'm considering getting Wolverine #1, because it's been a long while since i've purchased a Ryan Stegman comic book and i gotta support this dude, but it's hard because he's drawing Paul Cornell's shitty four dollar gun Wolverine book, so. all comes down to whether or not i decide to get those BW/Punisher books

Daredevil is heading to San Francisco :)

I'm still undecided as to whether I'm going to keep going with Daredevil. Marvel did up the price to $3.99 (of course they did) for the new series. The new She-Hulk book is only $2.99, thankfully. Some books I have no issue with paying $3.99 for, but there are too many books making the jump to that price. If it keeps up, there's going to be a lot of trade-waiting in my future.

So how many of you guys are buying the Infinity hardcover next week? I'm on the fence, but if it gets a 50% off discount at IST like I'm sure it will, I'll have to cave. This is the first Marvel event in a while that I enjoyed.

Definitely in for it. Although, Amazon get it a little after comic shops, about two-three weeks later, so I don't think I'll get hold of it until the 20th. I just got into Hickman's Avengers/New Avengers saga and found it absolutely fantastic, so I can't wait actually. Read Aaron's Thanos Rising mini yesterday too so I'm all geared up for this.

Not many people read Locke and key here? Or are there a lot of trade waiters.

Yup trade waiter here, I started just as the fourth HC came out!

I was having a little read of Click review , and noticing that Black Science took a dive out of the top three this month, I was wondering how many of you agree with this, or if it was jsut that there were more exciting books this month that y'all voted for? I have this noted down to by the first trade for, but just interested if you guys think it's not living up to the concept, or if Remender's doing the right thing spending time building the characters appropriately first before going bonkers.

Phew.

You pull invincible universe but not invincible?

It is a bit overlong for its own good.
But seeing Megatron and Galvertron clash has made it worth it.

Hell anything with Megatron makes it worth it.

(April Solicit Spoiler)
Which makes the Post-DarkCybertron MTMTE all the more exciting.

It also gave us the Rod Pod, making it the best crossover ever.

i'm okay with it since the art is usually good enough to make me want a digital back-up and now it will include a digital code with it for 60 cents more at dcbs. It's still annoying that almost all Marvel books are 3.99 now, but i'm living in a world where Marvel now has better value in their comics than hold the line at 2.99 dc. that charges 4.99 for some 30 page comics with a digital code.

NONE of my picks made it to the top 3, so, I'm gonna spend a whole month pretending I have better taste than y'all. By the way, the correct picks were :

THIRD - X-Men Legacy #23
SECOND - Saga #18
FIRST - FF #16

Saga aside, those are some good choices.

Yeah that's the scene. It just brought me out of the flow completely. She is a trained Assassin and she's acting like this is Omg WTF just happened?! Meanwhile she literally just
caved a dudes face in a scene or two previous.

Assassins know their target and plan for said target. I think she was surprised that her mission was to bring this homeless kid to the school and there were these authorities trying to stop said mission. They were trying so hard that they were just going to off him wherever. I think she is surprised at how important this mysterious kid is and that she had to resort to killing herself to complete the mission. She is a student herself. I didn't get anything out of place with it.

She killed those cops in the previous scene and she has the same look of "Oh Shit" immediately after. She may not be the experienced trained assassin you think she is. Maybe she's new to this. No way they show that same "Oh Shit" expression two times by accident.

EDIT: Actually I just re-read that section. I think you jumped to conclusions here
thinking she is a badass killer of some sort.

Maybe, but the team sent out
to get him don't seem surprised that he is being chased and have plans in place on how to run interference.

Yeah I'm being a little more hyper critical but I was digging the action up to that point. It made me do a double take and ask, wait, what?

I think I just hate mysterious first issues. I can accept pretty much anything as long as I know the rules of the sandbox.

They all seem
well trained. Appear to know the rules. So if they are all students they are the seniors to his freshman? Going to be interesting why they'd have the same "classes".

I'd agree with this as
they're all students, rather than fully trained operatives. Also, she's evidently the soft touch as she's the only one stupid or idealistic enough to become responsible for the new guy by 'sponsoring' him when the others heed their misgivings and walk away.

So I understand the hype behind Ms. Marvel, but what about Loki? Are they anti-heroing him? Capitalizing on movie popularity? Did they pull a Nick Fury on him? (Does he look like the actor now?)

i ordered the first issue of Loki incase it realllllly delivers, but i didn't continue ordering it from dcbs. I liked kid loki, i'm not that interested in "sexy spy" loki from a new writer. Movie catch-up doesn't really bother me since Loki has been changing a lot....but it isn't a selling point either.

I've been enraptured by this Silver Surfer animated show and it has me wondering; What are some good Silver Surfer comics? New or old.

Edit: or even just other good Marvel cosmic?

So I borrowed the Iron Fist compendium. Brubaker, Faction, and Aja! What could go wrong?

Maybe it's because this is my first encounter with Iron Fist (including Luke Cage, etc), but it's confusing and I have no desire to read more. I have three more issues which I'll finish so I can return the trade but I was underwhelmed. Art is gorgeous but the storytelling didn't grab me.

Oh wow man haha. I mean ,absolutely, different tastes and all that but that's a shame, I couldn't be more opposite there. I don't think it's anything to do with it being your first experience with the characters though, I guess Bru must just not be for you. It was my first ever time reading about Iron Fist and I found it fantastic. Although, I understand if it wasn't tonally for you, but I'm not sure why you'd find it confusing. I guess Bru/Fraction just isn't your kind of storytelling . No harm in that.

Not sure if it was already posted here (I'm only a casual comic gaf reader) but apparently that interview where Alan Moore was being a massive idiot was removed from the interviewer's site because apparently the interviewer hates it now as well. Here's the explanation

http://sequart.org/magazine/39038/on-alan-moores-last-interview/

Apparently it was Alan Moore's 'last interview' to which I say good riddance. I read his first works in the 80s but he just had to become a dick to equal Frank Miller. I guess the beard's a great camouflage as it just made him seem 'an eccentric' instead of a raging asshole until now.
