Perhaps some NATO members will become that crazy one day, not nuke-crazy but crazy enough. Not beyond imagination when NATO member shot down a fighter jet for being less than 20 seconds in their airspace for violating it while then proceeding to violate the sovereignity of a neighboring country with ground troops (still violating it weeks later and that's not even counting the violation of that country's airspace or the airspace of several other countries in close proximity to the NATO member). Imagine if Iran responded like a NATO member.

Good to see diplomacy working and this being handled smoothly despite the cry from warmongerers.

The way the US media handled this is just deplorable. This situation is exactly why I've been done with US mainstream news outlets for a long time.

The coverage is just humiliating.

Most outlets are flat out lying as they're neglecting to even mention that the US vessels entered Iranian waters. They're being extremely jingoistic and beating war drums over what is really, clearly, a non-issue. They're spinning this as Iran making the US look "weak" (and Obama as well) because diplomacy actually took place here.

It's really sickening.

Yup, it's really sad to see. Even if it's not a negative story, the American media has been trying hard to make it one.

You can see the difference in how the American media is reporting the story vs the rest of the world. The headline on BBC was something akin to "US grateful for release of Navy sailors" whereas the headline on CNN was "Iran demands apology from US for sailors" based on some off cuff comment made by a revolutionary guard general.

No, he's definitely putting overt jingoism and concern trolling on the same level as the 'smug' satisfaction about sanity winning the day. And while doing so giving himself an egotistical pat on the back cause he's calling "both sides" out.
