Seems like you have to sell a million records to be considered for the GrammysI love Kanye, but Graduation isn't even the best rap album of the year. What period of time is considered? Graduation came out in September; is December counted? If so it's a shame The Big Doe Rehab isn't nominated for rap aoty

Is The Reminder that much bigger than Let it Die?
I guess in my head The Reminder is a typical sophmore effort after a particularly exceptional debut...great in all ways but just doesn't quite match up.
In no way hating on The Reminder though, amazing album and easily one of my top 5 of the year, I just don't get how these things work sometimes. Maybe my perspective just doesn't seem to me lining up with general reality in this case.

But to be fair rock is such a catch all term I don't see why Greenday or Nickelback wouldn't fit in that category. They are rock bands. They might not rock as hard or be as relevant as some would wish but they are rock bands.
