Any Japanese PSP games worth importing?

Considering the slow releases here, I've considered attempting to import a game from Japan, possibly going the ebay route for a better deal. Is there anything absolutely amazing that hasn't or isn't coming out in the US anytime soon?

I'm still curious about mozipittan, and the RPGs might be too text heavy, but there just hasn't been a lot of talk here about the JP-only releases for the system and I'd like some impressions if anybody has them.

There's some IQ-testing game over there that looks really fun, but apparently you have to possess a fairly high level understanding of Japanese to play it.

So... uh.... other than that one, not that I know of.

NO!

Maybe for like <$20 cheap if your a fan of the series. But for full price + import fees there is no reason in hell anyone should buy Bleach.

Mojipiitan is nice but unless you're damn good at Japanese it's not worth full price + import fees.

Namco Museum rocks, but the US one will be better so you might as well wait.

So yea, basically nothing for now. Check back again in July/August with Tenchi no Mon and Twelve.

Yeah, I've been tempted by Bleach! But is it an actual, good fighter?

I also realized that Intelligent License was released. I'm not so sure I'm a fan of the gameplay (I would've liked a straight-up Intelligent Qube port, or something along those lines), but has anyone played it?

I have more than a basic knowledge of Japanese, plus I thought it might actually help improve it (as, say, playing Scrabble would improve one's English vocabulary). I just thought the concept was kind of neat and I've attempted to play the flash version but it always crashes on me. :\ It looks fun, but like you said, I'm not sure I'm keen on paying so much for it.

i been wondering the same thing.

i have only 3 games so far for my PSP

RR, wipeout and Lumines

Well, in the US, yeah. Metal Gear Acid, Dynasty Warriors, and Darkstalkers are all good IMO.

I second that..........:(

Bleach is horrible. Only 6 characters in total and about 20 seconds loading between stages. There is no excuse for this.

:(

I like the game but I love Bleach, easily my most played PSP game. Only other import I own is Soukyuu no Fafner and I can't pass the 2nd fight (not that I tried very hard).

Load times aren't any worse than other PSP games.

I'll be staying far, FAR away from Bleach. Bebpo took one for the team when he bought that; LISTEN TO HIM. I only wish DCharlie and the others that got Shutokou Battle had posted their thoughts earlier so I didn't have to eat that one...worst game on PSP fo' sho'.

Last game I imported was Intelligent License. It's an "action puzzle game" (visually it looks a little like Intelligent Qube) where your goal is to move your character from one end of the stage to another; you have to avoid patrolling guards, move blocks/steps around, maneuver through conveyer belts, and other types of action-based puzzles to solve each level. Pretty fun for what it is, but a bit on the easy side from what I've played of it so far.

Space Invader Pocket is pretty good, especially for the ports of Majestic Twelve and Akkanvader . A word of warning though, it does require you to have your PSP updated to the 1.50 firmware (which is also included in the game, btw).

Sengoku Cannon is coming out in july, that'll probably be worthwhile.

So are Tenchi No Mon and Tenchu. That's going to be a good week for PSP in Japan.

If you have a PSP, you need to have at least...

-Ridge Racer
-Metal Gear Ac!d
-Lumines
-Hot Shots Golf Open Tee
-Darkstalkers Chronicle
-Dynasty Warriors
-MLB
-Wipeout Pure
-Untold Legends

...before you start looking for other games. :D I also have had a good bit of fun with Twisted Metal Head-On and THUG 2 Remix as well.

I'll be importing Puyo Puyo Fever, Space Invaders Pocket, and Puzzle Bobble Mini this fall. That and porn if its offered on any import websites.
