It probably doesn't help that Magik is not the original and just a demon that looks like her for the most part. Pretty sure everyone forgets that.

Finally someone else who hates Magik. She's the worst.

I don't know anyone that actually likes her. She's such a dull character.

Once she told Colossus she wasn't "snowflake" once and for all (post Phoenix Five) I think her usefulness came to an end.

I don't really like teleporters in X-Men comics, I'll make an exception for Nightcrawler because he doesn't send the X-Men around the world.

I kind of despise Magik more because of her loyalty to Cyclops, which doesn't make sense to me.

I've been watching Justice League on Netflix for the first time-the season 2 finale-Starcrossed, a 3 part epic is so fantastic.

It's all about Hawkgirl when
The Thanagarians come to Earth to take it over-and she was revealed as a spy.
The entire story is fantastic and riveting-everything from her relationship with John Stewart-to the League going into hiding-and then the incredible final battle with
Batman sacrificing the Watchtower, John fighting off "Hawkman" with no ring, Wonder Woman just kicking ass-and then the ending where Hawkgirl says goodbye to John and flies off
...incredible stuff.

Looking forward to starting up Justice League Unlimited next.

A huge part of piracy is simply the convenience. I don't have to go through this digital middle man, log into my account, transfer money into Apple iBucks or whatever; I can just click this Mediafire button right here, download it, it's on my harddrive in 10 seconds. I can read it, copy it, flip it upside down, whatever.

Piracy is never going away. That's the reality of the situation, and putting more locks on the door just encourages more people to find another way around. When you give people a more convenient way to get to your products, they're more likely to pay for the products.

Comicology is just as simple. I enter my password once and I'm reading this week's issues in that 10 seconds.

What Image is doing is great, but I'm not too bothered by my current digital setup.

Man, what I'd give to watch those for the first time all over again.

That stuff is great. The best part? It only gets better.

From now on, all of Image’s digital comics come with PDF, ePub, CBR and a CBZ file which is a game changer to say the least, as you now actually own the digital comic that you purchase, DRM-Free. This is decidedly different from Comixology, where you can only access the comic through their app, and basically adds a brand new revolution to the strange digital comics game that is always evolving one step at a time.

This, though? This is like a whole jump. The big issue of digital comics was that you’d pay for something that you could only access in a specific way, and one that you could lose at the drop of a hat (or a cloud). Image, forever trying to put the power in the hands of the people they serve, is literally putting the power in the hand sof the people they serve with this move — and it’s kind of astonishing to see this happen from the publisher.

Sorry. Should have clarified. I meant stuff like the right to resell your digital property. So, yeah. It's a great step in the right direction. But we have further to go.

Agreed. I started Reading xmen in the 90s and at the time she was dead and colossus would spend years and years mourning her loss. She comes back and THIS angry brat is what he missed. Send her away!

The more I read of the JL3000 interviews the more furious I get. They can't shit any harder on 60+ years of LOSH history.

MSG: Speculation has been swirling online for months about the next iteration of the Legion of Super-Heroes mythology. What can you tell us about the Justice League’s connection to what we’ve seen before with the 31st century’s other super-team?

KG: Nothing. No connection. Zip. Zero. Nada. And, while I’m at it, that ain’t Wally. There are no Legionnaires in the book. None. This is not the Legion. It’ll be back, of that I’m sure, but it won’t be back because of us or the JL3000 book.

That said, I did take the name Fatal Five just because I really like the sound of it. JUST the name. Such a hypocrite…. I KNOW!

JMD: This book has no overt Legion connection. Our focus is on the Justice League and the evolution of our characters. Fresh start, square one.

MSG: Are you drawing on previous ideas of the 31st century for your environment or looking to establish a new vision for the future of… the future?

KG: Nope. We’re looking to make the 31st century uniquely ours.

MSG: Superman has obviously had the strongest connection to the 31st century previously, having served as the inspiration for a generation of young heroes. What place do Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern have in this future that’s similar or unique?

JMD: You’ll have to read the book to find out. As for Superman’s connection to the 31st Century, that was a different continuity and a different Superman. This is virgin ground and we’re building totally new structures.

MSG: What can you tell us about the opposing forces the Justice League will be facing in the new series?

KG: Just because they’re called the Fatal Five doesn’t mean you know who they are.

Hope this project bombs.

Look brah. Levitz and co fucking sucked the joy out of the Legion. He wrote some of the most boring and directionless arrangement of words ever. You cannot call them stories. I refuse. Let the Legion sit for a bit. With Didio and Levitz out of the way.

The rumor mill keeps turning at bleedingcool

The Infinity event hasn’t begun yet, but I hear that the recent Marvel Retreat was in full discussion about next year’s Marvel cross-universe event.

I’m told it will have Jason Aaron and Rick Remender as lead writers, with John Romita Jr as lead artists.

And Celestials, Apocalypse, Archangel and Magneto all involved…

But before that, expect some kind of crossover/cross under with All New X-Men and the Guardians Of The Galaxy come the early/mid 2014…

Don’t expect any news about this at San Diego Comic Con. And as Marvel reps said, “speculation, guesswork, connecting the dots and misinformation.”

But I kind of expect this all to happen.

JL3000 is going to fucking rule and if you don't think it's worth alienating all two fans of the Legion to get it then you're a big dummy. (Seriously, just admit it's a terrible fucking concept and be at peace with the idea they're never gonna revisit it because of how terrible it is)

Why do I feel like you're placing your hand comfortingly on my shoulder and handing me the rifle?

Oh man, Justice League Unlimited kicks it up a few more notches. I thought most of JL was just average, but JLU is phenomenal.

I'll take you and the 63-year old guy who still sends postcards to DC to vote for the Legion election any day of the week that's not a Wednesday.

But seriously, the Legion has been a joyless impenetrable mess of a comic for as long as I've been into comics and I do not see the appeal.

But seriously, the Legion has been a joyless impenetrable mess of a comic for as long as I've been into comics and I do not see the appeal.

It's the series that got me into comics. So it definitely has a special place in my heart. I'm obviously going through the grief and anger phase right now. I won't continue to muck up the board with it (anymore than I usually do) but this latest interview just annoyed the shit out of me. I think it has in large part do to the fact that every interview has done one of a few things; A) Not told us much of anything about the book. B) Shit over the Legion, in an attempt to distance itself, or because they are getting upset at being asked? and C) Go back to A and be soulless, rubber stamped interviews, and repeat.

I love Superman. And the Legion was an extension of that love; They took everything that he was about and embodied it. They were inspired by him and they become his inspiration as well. And now they want to remove that, once again, and replace it with some grimdark bullshit involving clones.

I get that it's a great creative team that gave us classics like the Blue and Gold JLI; But this is really what they have to offer us? C'mon son.

Also, LOSH was (is) outselling titles that are still going and have gotten switchups in an attempt to boost them, like Batwing and Stormwatch. They didn't even try with LOSH. I don't understand why not.

If that rumor is true then I wish it was only Remender doing the event. Do not care for Aaron at all :|

I mean shit I use to love Wolve, but dude needs to go away for awhile.

Oh god, I agree with ElNarez, what is the world coming too?

Legion is a cool groupbut I've always liked them. Never went full blast on them until Waid was on it though
its ok if you don't like it, whatever
You could probably put Morrison and Francavilla on Cap and I still probably wouldn't touch it. or Ellis and JH Williams, or Gaiman and Samnee? Bachalo? Bendis with Maleev?
well shit those sound good, maybe I'd get weak but still!

Geoff Johns should have done some Legion instead of Justice League to see if he could sell it lol

Tomorrow.

Marvel Comics
Avengers #15
What If? AvX #1

DC Comics
Batman Incorporated #12

Image Comics
Satellite Sam #1

When does Locke & Key end? I've read the first 3 trades, have the next 2 on the way, so I just need the last trade to come out. For those that have read everything so, does it look like he will pull off a good ending?

Green Lantern #21 was enjoyable, seemed a bit simplistic, especially how the Hal/Carol interaction was left off.

Green Lantern New Guardians #21 on the other hand i didn't care for at all, especially the end.
That battle between cyst tusk guy and kyle was so bad.
It seems like this Relic guy is getting forced so fast to be important.

For poor reasons based on my personal experience, I suggest cutting:

Morning Glories: I read the first issue of the second season or whatever, the one dollar issue, and found it so boring!
American Vampire: I read the recent one-shot and found it meh and gross and kinda yuck and on-the-nose.
Sex: I don't even know if this is trade-wait worthy. I read it too but not for the whiney, boring hero, I'll tell you that much. And I'm dropping it soon... no, seriously.
FF: I just can't stand this book and I realize that's weird. Or is it? Maybe deep down, you hate it, too.
Jupiter's Legacy: Meh depictions of wild youth are so meh.

Morning Glories: I'll probably dump this. Nick Spencer stories are generally slow burns, but getting close to 30 issues in and we still really don't know what's going on? Ridiculous.

American Vampire: I'm keeping. You read the one shot, which I enjoyed. But it still pales in comparison to the awesome that is the main series. Also, it's on hiatus, so it doesn't really count anyway.

Sex: Yeah, pretty much crap. Gone.

I've also got a few others in mind that I may well get rid of. I'm getting there.

Tomorrow is the end of an era bros. Love has come and gone in the span of Morrison's run. I might legit breakdown.

Have the balls to kill Bruce so we get DickBats back when Zero Year is over.

If nothing else Trinity War is gonna be very easy on the eyes...

http://herocomplex.latimes.com/comics/trinity-war-artists-reis-mahnke-janin/#/5

Honestly Trinity war looks like the first thing in new 52 that truely excites me. I like how the DCU is really coming together again for a big crazy event. It's gonna be interesting to see how it plays out in this new timeline where they don't really know each other that well and some things are different like Dr.Light is a hero instead of a villian.

The more I read of the JL3000 interviews the more furious I get. They can't shit any harder on 60+ years of LOSH history.

Hope this project bombs.

I'm so angry about all of this. I hope it's the biggest bomb ever and they're forced to bring the Legion back straight away.

Nothing DC has done has angered me this much since what they did to Cassandra Cain.

FACT: The only interesting take on the Legion was Mark Waid and Barry Kitson's 2005 run where they disconnected it from the DCU, explained that their codenames were made ironically, made it more futuristic feeling and gave them totally new storylines and villians.

But Legion fans bitched so we went back to the really silly 60s version that has no place in modern comic books. It doesn't even make sense because they supposedly arent supposed to influence time yet there always showing up and hanging out in the regular DCU for big chunks of time. It's just dumb. JL 3000 is the proper modern take. I would have also liked to see Robinson's take where the Infinity Inc. was the team in the future and characters like Jade were the far distant descendants of the Earth 2 guys.
