its a devil may cry type game with terrible art, looks like a quick cash in

You're thinking of the Vincent FFVII PS2 game, which the PSP game is not.

That poster was around before psp was announced, its a teaser for their next game probably for ps2

While you're semi-right, there are reasons to assume it's not.

IGN

Many, many months ago, developer Level-5 revealed that it was working on a new game, on top of its work on Dragon Quest VIII for the PS2 and (at the time) True Fantasy Live Online for the Xbox. As the publisher for this mystery title was listed as Sony Computer Entertainment, many believed the game to be a new entry in the Dark Cloud series, which has been developed from the start by the developer. We also, for convenience, assumed the game was for the PS2.

Today, Sony Computer Entertainment revealed that we may have been wrong on both accounts. A mystery title is actually in development for the PSP, which may mean that the dazzling concept image of Level-5's "Next RPG" could come to life on the portable instead of the PS2. Additionally, the game is an original RPG, which rules out a sequel to Dark Cloud.

That's all that SCE saw fit to reveal today, unfortunately. We presume more details will come our way once Level-5 finishes work on Dragon Quest VIII.

I think you're stretching the term, imho, because it's basically 100% guaranteed that Everquest and Burnout are coming to PSP in some form. It IS 100% certain that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is.
Well, if it's an issue of inevitability I'd have to add stuff like F-Zero DS and Harry Potter DS as well. And really, I'm just ot interested in dealing with intangibles.

Interestingly enough, EA did say it's working on 12 games for PSP. It just hasn't named what all those games are. So yes, at the very least you should put "5 as yet unrevealed PSP EA games."
I add tba projects when they're more defined (ex: Konami's SRPG or Sega's Digital Pet). "5 as yet unrevealed PSP EA games" isn't solid enough but if we had some basic information on those 5 it'd be a different story (EA movie license, EA racer, etc).

Now that's silly. EA specifically said in their third quarter report "We're working on 12 PSP games." They're coming, it's a fact. So you should add that or yeah I'm going to say the list doesn't do much good.

Eh, I still just don't feel it's solid enough. Sorry if that not "good enough" to warrant your approval.

Im flabbergasted to see there's still peoples who say DS' lineup sucks yet turn around and praise PSP as the 2nd coming to christ, not on this forum specifically but around PC centric forums, just the RPG list is near godly.

Your previous criteria was that it had to be announced. Well, those games have been announced as in the works.
Well what "games" are they exactly? Really, it just seems a bit out of date... I don't doubt EA has more PSP games in the works (I'd expect way more than 5 games also) but until we have a better idea what they are, it's not really worth specificying. I've also trimmed other unspecific projects (VU DS games) or tba projects which have possibly been revealed (the tba Namco DS RPG is probably Baten Kaitos or Xenosaga). It's better to list specific games I think rather than mystery SKU counts, it also makes the lists more managable.

It's not really out of date. In January (2004) EA announced they were working on 12 PSP projects. At the time they didn't specify what any of them were, just that they are working on them. So far we have: NBA Street, NSFU: Rivals, NFL Unleashed, Tiger Woods, FIFA and a few others.

The ones left over are what have not been revealed, but they are coming to the PSP without any doubt.

You an add, NBA Street 2, NFSU 2, NFLU 2, TW 2, FIFA 2 and you get almost your 10 games :)

Huh? NBA Street 2 = NBA Street PSP. NSFURivals = NSFU2. NFLU2 = NFL Street 2: Unleashed, Tiger Woods = Tiger Woods. FiFA = FIFA.

It's official. EA is working on Duckroll Skateboarding, Duckroll Mountain Climbing, Duckroll Escapes From A Burning Building, Duckroll vs Amir0x and Duckroll Boxing. I can confirm they're all coming out on the PSP. Now add it to your list! :D

I can't believe you revealed this title. You can get fired!

I didn't sign the NDA, I told them the entire franchise would be worthless if I couldn't talk about it on GAF. So yeah, I'm really looking forward to this too. The motion capturing is going to be amazing.

Just at a glance I see Winning Eleven, those 2 gagharv trilogy games on jarrod's list. use ctrl-f since he seems to alwys have them listed with exact names. Mercury also :)

i'm not an RPGer and the the last couple of years of the GBA has seen a steady decline of anything arcade

PSP kicks off with Darkstalkers and good Ridge Racer,, arcade me up to PSP, esse.

(I believe handhelds are meant for short burst play, so action-arcade all the way)

Correction, I skipped 57 rumored or garage dev PSP games. ;)

Yes, there's quite a few for DS as well (PSO DS, that NeoPong shooter, Cerculean Dreams etc). But these sorts of games aren't set in stone games that are ensured release, that's what this list concentrates on. Specific games we're ensured more or less.

Didn't the developers say they were working on Untold Legends 2 and adding an Infrastructure mode? I'm sure I have seen that. I also have seen Xmen Legends 2 listed for PSP.

nevermind, saw that list copied above is old.

-Dobutsu Shima no Chibi Gurumi 3 (Rocket Company)
I was curious about this one (for the DS), since I had heard about Rocket before. They made a "Super Real Mahjong" game on the GBA for Seta, and they published one of the "Shin Megami Tensei" games on the GBA in Japan.

I found their website. http://www.rocketcompany.co.jp/

It seems that Dobutsu Shima no Chibi Gurumi is one of those strange Japanese games that we just pretend don't exist. The first two were on the GBA. There are some small .MPG clips on the site, if you're curious.

chobi2004.jpg

And I was hoping for some touchscreen strip-mahjong action...

Nothing to see here... move along.
