[MC Safety]

Greetings:

I have a Handycam (Sony) and am trying to download movies from said camera to my Macintosh personal home computer. As I am a dullard, it's not going very well. Imovie doesn't recognize the camera, as I think the HandyCam's plugged into the USB port and not the Firewire one. The ImageMaker program the camera came with doesn't seem to be designed for humans.

So. With this limited information, can anybody help a brother out? I figure Gaming-Age might be a good starting place because of all the tech-savvy folk. Also, I think laziness factors in heavily, too.
