E3 titles shown per platform

Chopin Trusty Balls

First casualty in the war on idioticy.
Titles shown(consoles only)
Rounded them a bit.

Exclusives:
PS2 90
Xbox 45
Gamecube 20

Ps2/XBOX 60

PS2/GC 4

PS2/XB/GC 45

Together:
PS2 - 195
Xbox- 150
GC-70

Worst case would be error range +/- 10 titles on the final score.
Got it from the list.

damn, quite a disparity between the Gamecube and the other consoles in terms of qty of games. Xbox is as close to PS2 in # of games as it's ever been.

It can be argued, though heavily debated, that because the vast majority of the games coming out on both the Xbox AND PS2 will be superior on Xbox that when all is said and done, the Xbox's line-up should theoretically better please more gamers.

I'd be interesting in seeing the full list of actual titles. I'm betting a big portion of titles the GC is missing out on are sports games (nothing against sports games, of course -- just an observation).

It was the same way last E3 when a similar list was posted. This shouldn't be a big suprise to GC owners.

Doesn't anyone see weekly release schedules or gaming magazine reviews? The GC simply doesn't get as many titles.

Unfortunately Sega doesn't. :/

Personally, I bet they're just doing a timed exclusive on GameCube to get lower licensing rates or maybe add Live features to the XBox release later on. But officially as of now, it's only going to be on GameCube.

X2 was released on PS2 last year, Isuka is the new 4 player game. KOF 2002 is being bundled with 2003 and released on both XBox & PS2.

Also I'm a PC gam,ing virgin and even I can spot more than 16 PC games in that XBox list. Metal Slug 3 (and any Neo port) is iffy also since there's always the AES release....

Uh, that link lists old stuff like Pterosaur (which not only wasn't at E3 but was also announced for GameCube & XBox). Really, while your general point might hold some validity (PS2 >> XBox >>> GC in terms of software releases), if you're not willing to do some fact checking and give accurate numbers, why give any numbers at all? :/

Unfortunately Sega doesn't. :/

Personally, I bet they're just doing a timed exclusive on GameCube to get lower licensing rates or maybe add Live features to the XBox release later on. But officially as of now, it's only going to be on GameCube.

Sega's website doesn't show Outrun 2 either, but we all know that's coming. Maybe MS has decided to publish Puyo. No big deal one way or the other. No list you can come up with will be 100% accurate and the few mistakes you catch don't really make much of a dent in the ever growing gap.

The PS2 list looks good, except for Tekken 5 (only the arcade version was announced/shown at E3). Ys is iffy as well since that's been announced for US PSP release. As for PC games in the XBox list...

Advent Rising
Call of Cthulhu
Chronicles of Riddick
Citizen Zero
DDR Ultramix 2 (different title but it's a PC port I believe)
Black hawk Down
Blinx 2 (not on PC but not at E3 iirc)
Doom 3
Dungeon Lords
Full Spectrum Warrior
Gun Griffon (though I'm not sure if it was announced for US release?)
KUF:Crusaders (same)
Memorick
Men of Valor
Operation Flashpoint
Painkiller
Rainbow Six:Black Arrow
The Roots
Savage Safari Hunt (also for PS2 even)
Shadows Ops
Star Wars Kotor 2
Star wars republic commando
Thief 3
Tron 2
Unreal Championship 2
Xyanide

...that leaves 19-23 actual exclusives for XBox at E3 (depending on if the PC versions of GG & KUF are coming here and if you count SVC Chaos or MS3 as exclusive).

I agree, and I still think it's coming personally but Sega's actually clairied that Puyo Fever is GC exclusive at E3. Also Outrun 2 is indeed on their E3 site.

Seems you're right, it was the first game that was based off a PC release.

Strange, as there's also a PS2 version too. I guess they don't want to run the online service themselves? :/

Huh, guess the PC version was canceled then?
