[Weekly software and hardware sales figures] "Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance" takes the top spot and three versions simultaneously enter the top 10! Switch versions of "Monster Hunter Stories" and "Snufkin: Melody of Moomin Valley" also do well [6/10-6/16]​

Sales ranking announced by Famitsu. This time, we bring you a summary of the estimated weekly sales of game software and hardware from June 10 to June 16, 2024.

Five of the top 10 titles in this week's ranking are new titles (three if counted by platform) and the top spot goes to the Nintendo Switch version of Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. This is a powered-up version of the RPG Shin Megami Tensei V which was released in 2021 and sold over 1 million copies worldwide . The battle system and scenario have been improved and many new elements have been added, such as the new story "Goddess of Vengeance" and it recorded good sales of 31,888 units. 　

The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions also ranked in second and seventh place and the cumulative sales of all three versions are 56,865 units.

Coming in at number four is Monster Hunter Stories which also makes its debut. This is a remaster of the title released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2016, this time released with high definition and full voice support. A double pack set with Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is also available at various stores.

And in 10th place is the packaged version of Snufkin: Melody of Moomin Valley, an adventure game where you become Snufkin and explore the world of Moomin. The download version released earlier and has also been highly praised, making it a notable title.

Dang, Switch is killing it. Did not expect SMTVV to do so well on Switch since it's otherwise just an enhanced version of a game the platform had before so many users wouldn't necessarily double dip for the extras, it's probably mostly people who didn't buy it before and/or super fans yet it's on top.
