The Epic Games Store has over 61 million monthly active users on PC, Epic has revealed.

It hit an average peak concurrent users on PC figure of 13 million.

The Epic Games Store's impressive numbers were fuelled by The Vault campaign, which ran from 14th May to 18th June. This promotion featured a free game each week players could download and keep forever, and four of the games included were huge: Grand Theft Auto 5, Ark: Survival Evolved, Civilization 6 and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.

I still have some doubts about how well this strategy works. How many users are on the store just for the free games and have no real intention of using it? It'd be interesting to see the number of users that actually spent money there, it'd be probably a more realistic outlook of how successful they actually are. Doubt Epic would show these though.

Personally, I unlocked every free game from the store, those 4 games they gave for free are huge gifts yes.
Anyway 61m is kinda big and they are obviously growing considering the store is young, Fortnite is really fueling them, it makes them a lot of money but they know sooner or later it will end, so they are investing money as much as they can in this new store, steam having some competion can only bring benefits to us customers.
