IGN reviews Shaun White Snowboarding [Wii]

After seeing Symphonia 2 score I don't trust IGN reviews anymore...., what a bunch of tards....

*enters thread*

Oh..., they give a 8.4 to this Wii game...., awesome, IGN is always reliable....

People really need to play the Wii version of Shaun White before they start decrying it. While not as open and free-form as the 360 and PS3 version, it has a charm of its own. The use of the Wiifit board is actually really good and any excuse to get some more life out of the board is great in my books. :D

I love this game, I just unlocked Switzerland and the track design is getting better and better.
It's harder to play with the board, but it feels so good. I'm quite impressed with the wiimote controls as well. Actually I alternate between the 2 controls, depending on challenges.

The wii game to own this month, no doubt about it.

Yeah, I'm so glad that We Sky & Snowboarding was delayed and that despite the Ubisoft stigma I gave the game a chance and that they included 4 players split-screen in this one as well.

Skate it! is awesome as well, those are one of those rare cases were the Wii version is the superior one and that's saying something since, especially Skate, the games are alreay pretty darn good on their own.

This is looking more and more tempting to me.

Just a insignificant question. Can you choose the time of day for each course or are certain courses always played at night? Or perhaps even better, but unlikely, does it use the internal clock?
I'm loving the look of snowboarding at night time, it gives me a really relaxed and winter holiday feeling for some reason. :D

Snagged it for $29.99 from Amazon on black friday when I ordered Wii Fit. Definitely glad I did. I've only played it a couple times. Both with the balance board, definitely fun though. Will have to try it with high sensitivity as someone mentioned.

So glad I bought this game,
IT'S-SO-DAMN-AWESOME <3

I didn't have the chance to play multiplayer on my copy though, how much do the graphics (which btw are damn pretty!) deteriorate in 4p and how's the framerate?

The ads specifically aimed at the Wii edition (show people on the board doing tricks, similar t the Wii Fit commercials) have started airing in greater rotation. Hopefully this leads to more good balance board games.

Because the games are going to age really, really quickly. Twilight Princess vs. Wind Waker, for example; Twilight Princess is already starting to show its age while Wind Waker is still visually pleasing.

Hi there. My name is Star Wars Rebel Strike. Will you be my friend?

Sorry for the bump, but for those of you with the Target version, would you say that the extra Target content is worth another ten bucks? The regular version is on sale for $40 at amazon, and the target version is $50.

Got this today at Target (the special edition) for $39 and it fucking rocks!!!

The turning takes some getting used to, cant decide between using High or Medium sensitivity on the Balance Board but so far pulling off tricks with ease and winning races

Ubisoft did a really good job utilizing the Wii Balance Board, I really like the blurring effect that happens when you lean forward to increase speed as well.

The regular version is on sale at Best Buy for $39 starting tomorrow as well

HOLY CRAP!

I finally picked this up and expected something decent. I was not prepared for how fun this game is. I can't believe how great it feels to control this with the balance board. This is the most fun I've had playing games in a long time.

Seriously anyone that has a balance board for wii, buy this game! You won't regret it. This is pure arcade racing stupid fun and with the balance board it's damn incredible.

I've got a copy of this ordered from Amazon for $35. It is supposed to come some time next week. I bought the 360 version in November...played it once...and haven't played it since. Hopefully the Wii version lives up to the hype.

Yeah I got the balance board but my local blockbuster does not have it. They have every other game but no Shaun White. It sucks. I have to try it before I buy it but it would be nice to dust off my balance board lol

i got it too

pretty crappy, actually. the tracks are all quickly put together and feel like they belong in excitebike (repeated use of the same jump/grind-bar models), the graphics are pretty subpar, the game can be beaten pretty quickly, the challenges (until the end) were pretty lazily thought up and can be beaten on the first run, interface looks cheap. overall it feels like an iphone application

the balance board part of it works pretty well though, at least it has that

if it came out in like 2000 at the PS2 launch it'd receive a 7.0, but i guess ign reviewed it high due to the shovelware changing their standards

Yeah I've been having a blast playing this with the balance board. Having some friends over to play it makes it even more fun. I wish there were more mountains though.
