Something I noticed today while playing in 50cc is that we go so slow that the blooper effect is practically nonexistent lol
It'll be hell in 200cc

I also noticed that the item system is indeed based on distance and not estimated time.

It will be used.

It won't be used as often though, not because of having to brake but because a lot of firehopping spots will either have the number of hops drastically reduced or will just be eliminated entirely.
