Generally system sales start falling a week or so before the release.

The simple story is that the bump is over - PSP is back to normal, and it's still doing quite well.

I certainly didn't think the 360 would match, much less surpass, the ToV week. You can definitely have this one. What a riot! :lol

MS won't hold the numbers. It'll be down to 3-5k by the end of this month. We've seen these bumps before and the results afterwards.

We've never seen these bumps before outside of Blue Dragon, and that was New Year's. ToV was followed by shortages, so that's not a comparable situation unless Microsoft shorted shipment to Japan again following IU. It's certainly possible/probable that 360 will fall back to ~5K per week, but to support such a claim based on "we've seen these bumps before" is silly.

And yet it happened.

I completely stand behind what I said. It was an unreasonable expectation, but that doesn't mean it couldn't still happen. (Hello, MGS4's first week!)

PSP-MHP2G/Bronze PSP/Metallic Blue PSP/PSP bump is over. Needs games
