A woman on a pub crawl gave birth in a toilet, dumped the baby in a bin then left for another bar.
A cleaner found the boy's body in a plastic bag the next morning. Doctors said the child was born alive but suffocated in the bin.
The mother, Erin Pendleton, who took her six-year-old son on the crawl, was charged yesterday with murder and child abuse. Pendleton, 29, had gone with two women pals to Legends Bar and Grill in Denver, Colorado. She called the boy's father on a mobile phone and asked him to come and get the youngster.
Pendleton then left the lad with her pals while she disappeared to the ladies for an hour and a half. His dad came and collected him then left. One of the friends went to look for Pendelton and saw blood on her and in the cubicle. But the callous mum - who said she had taken cocaine - said she had passed a kidney stone. The woman then left, Pendleton got changed and they went to carry on drinking at another bar.
One of the women told police she had suspected for some time that Pendleton was pregnant. The horror happened hours after another woman dumped her new baby boy in a bin in the same city. He died two days later. Griselle Suarez, 20, has also been charged with murder.
