Saw this disc at my local Blockbuster, and I can't find anything about it on IMDB. WTF is it? Do I want it, if I own and love the original DVD release?

Oh hell. A soap opera version CONDENSED to 4 hours from the original version for US audiences? No thanks. Hahahaahah. Wow.

Edit - Error Macro. No. It's called just that 'New Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' and it's actually the chopped up version of the Chinese mini series, one that predates the movie by about a year, apparently.

Apparently, it's a Chinese TV miniseries based on the same material as the movie.

They need to just make that CTHD prequel. That way Jet can finnaly get to star in the movie since it's suppose to be a younger Li Mu Bai. Unless they just use the previous actors. Which I guess it'll be even longer since it'll since 2 of the actors are starring in Memoirs of a Geisha (Hollywood will never ever learn).

I think I read somewhere that CTHD was book 5 out of 6 in a series. They should make more films out of the series dammit!
