New Joe and Mac – Caveman Ninja from Microids and Mr. Nutz Studio is a revamped take on the classic 2D arcade classic now on PlayStation. Mr. Nutz Studio previously worked on the HD Toki remake, which brings us a revamped take on the classic 2D arcade experience. Oh, and the studio also worked on the hand-drawn beat ‘em up Asterix and Obelix: Slap them All! As you can see, the team is well-versed in working its colorful HD magic on classic experiences for a new generation.

The score doesn't matter. This game made me happy along with its sequel on the SNES... But I hate the flash skeleton animation that they use.

One of the best things about the original and its sequel were games that were too fun, funny, with an anime touch, and replayable.

Is it me, or this "Remake" has been cut in content, I remember that the SNES version had its fun Bonus phases and was more longer.

I also hate the fact that when you run out of energy bar you have to respawn the checkpoint, in the SNES version the lifes are continuous.

Reverse groomer.
looks like a mobile game. what a disservice to the original

The artstyle of the original looked just fine, this new one is worse... it'd still look good if it were actually 2d animated, but nooooooo it had to be puppets.

This was clearly nothing more than a nostalgia bait remake. This could have been released in 2012 as Shovelware for the Wii and frankly no one would notice or be any wiser

Totally agree. It looks like a Wii video game, which was launched without anyone noticing... and with a mobile game style.

The arcade original was set like that with checkpoints and they added stuff to the SNES port
