We hear that every generation...and it's never really true. These systems are beasts, but they're not limitless, and there will always be things that they just can't do on current hardware.

Well... it's as it should be ---- Concept-Design is the earliest point in the design process, it's where the mistakes are realized and the flaws in the art-direction are adressed without budget costs .... so this is a great thing, and why more concept-designers are hired now.

Killzone has always had great vehicular design, some of the best --- no sci-fi bullshit, just great industrial utilitarian vihicle design that really helps the drama.

That first vehicle sketch is pretty good -- much nicer than the artist was doing on the first game, but the design is outstanding... and where the 3d artists took it, even better.
Man, I would love to be a part of that game.
