why does anyone really care if PD0 is out at launch?

If I were MS I would be distancing myself from it, and not sticking with the message that its the most important game they have for X360 right now.

I'm sure it'll be good (early screenshots not withstanding), but putting the pressure on like this can't help.

Why not just make PGR3 the flag bearer, and concentrate on making PD0 a great game?

Anyway, surely PD0 isn't that big of a brand anyway? Just a Goldeneye wannabe from Rare that some people played way back on N64. (Yes it was great, but I'm trying to put some context on it)

Goldeneye also happened to outsell both Halos.

MS is right to bet on Rare in creating a new mega-hit with PD0, if it hadn't required the expansion pack on the 64 it would have been.
