"Nobody" is a bit of an absolute, but this is mostly true. The vast majority of people would rather consume media that features people they find attractive.
Women enjoying Hallmark channel movies aren't exactly watching average looking men, either. Much to the concern of pretty much no one.

If I'm playing a game, I do NOT want to watch some frumpy, flabby assed, greasy haired, out of shape turd with a goofy looking face. I have a mirror at home that can provide all those horrors. When I'm adventuring, I'd much rather be watching someone who isn't a disappointment to his loved ones, and understands that buttering a steak is a poor life choice.

Well it’s a funny thing that those anime tits and booty derive through artistic progression from the same wood block prints that art aficionados of the present hold in such high esteem. But most of those prints were originally intended to be cheap or sleazy entertainment, just as anime tits and ass are now. So let’s avoid the double standard here: the censorship of art should be condemned regardless of how crude or ridiculous some segments of society might consider it to be.

As for porn - I think it is perfectly fine to have on any platform, as long as it is properly categorized. I know plenty of people who grew up only ever playing on PCs with free access to porn and porn games. Nothing bad happened.

I see your point, but games consoles are sold and marketed towards both adults and children. Whilst you would hope that parents who bought their kid a PS4 would monitor their purchases, chances are they wouldn’t realise they were accessing porn in their rooms.
PC/tablets/phones are different...I think they ring alarm bells with parents and would be treated differently.
The other thing I would say is, I actually like my consoles to be free of porn, politics or the outside world in general. Don’t get me wrong, I watch the news and like a good wank like the next guy, but I’ve got numerous devices for that!

As with Sony's censorship push towards games, the bigger concern is there seems to be no consistency or guidelines directing these changes, leaving consumers (and one assumes developers) to worry whatever group oversees these matters gets to arbitrarily decide whether an image is too suggestive or extreme. It's reasonable for a mainstream-video-game device & platform like the Playstation 4 not to host material deemed pornographic, but unless Sony provides clear notice of additional content also found to be overly explicit and therefore blocked on its system, then the company should not suddenly implement vague content enforcenment.
I own a PS4 and will continue purchasing games for it, but my continued support of the brand past this hardware generation is now considerably in doubt.

I do totally get that, but I also get this isn't a Personal Computer (PC). This is something you bought from Sony. You can kick and scream all you want but you understand how it works, Sony calls the shots on content. By all means have whatever poorly constructed anime ass you want on your PC, don't cry foul on Sony for the choices they get to make.
Just an FYI I hate to be the guy sticking up for censorship I'm all for titties-a-bouncin but we've been beating this zombie horse for awhile now.

That’s true, they do call the shots since it’s their walled platform, I think some posters here though believe there’s a certain agenda and double standard, especially with their first party games and games by major publishers that’s going on and I kind of agree with the later, but hey let your wallets speak if you truly disagree.

I played JP demo for Full Body and as far as I know it wasn't censored and I heard if a game gets censored because of Sony's policy then would also be censor in Japanese version as well, so there might be a chance Full Body might be uncensored in west as well.

Why shouldn't we cry foul? We are free to criticize Sony for their censorship. What we are not free to do is to force Sony to renege their censorship policy against their will. I believe everyone is aware of the fact that Sony is allowed to control whatever content goes on their platform, but that doesn't make them immune to criticism.

I don't disagree with the principle, I just find the optics of the whole thing remarkable given the volume of "they censored my anime!" we get on GAF compared to "they censored my [anything else]!"
Not to mention that before we had Afro polls shitting up the front page on a daily basis, we had censorship threads as far as the eye could see accomplishing little more than loud rabbling.
Pot Meet Kettle's thread centralizing it all for the sake of proper discussion was merciful.
