...looks great imo. Received a Silver score of 30 in Famitsu, which is quite a feat for a GBA title from a first time developer like Ertain Corperation. Looks just like the kind of game Atlus USA might be interested in...

stuck my tongue deep inside Atlus' cookies
Without knowing anything else about it besides the short descrip and those screens, I can say it has me interested.

Such a formula would work well too. Very well.
I agree. It would bring in a lot of directionality into the combat. area attacks, melee, directional, flight/ground. Terrain could yield competitive advantages based on type.

It actually has potential to employ more actual spatial tactics than a game like FFTA. (edit: hell it would be more about direction/formation and matchup than even advance wars and fire emblem. It would be interesting to place the trainer on the field and have them deploy/recall pokemon one at a time with in the ball's throwing radius)

=/ Stop making me want it more.

They're not first-time actually. They used to be New Corporation (Hajime no Ippo PS2). New split their crew into two or three teams, and this company is one of them.

Anyone actually played this yet?

My thoughts exactly. It'd be interesting to have a bird type not have to deal with terrain differences, and a river full of water Pokemon get pwned when Pikachu shocks it. The Pokemon anime has terrain fields but the games hardly use them. Water pokemon swimming across rivers, grass Pokemon regaining energy when they stand in spots with trees, attack distances, damagable geography...
