Sure, but by all past experience it would've been time for $199 before E3 2002, and time for $149 before E3 2004.

EDIT - On second thought, I'm not so sure. Skipping the $130 price point does seem like "missing out" on a whole tier of pricing, and hitting it would net them more profits than at $99, too. Hmm.

Yeah. And this is the generation where they bothered to invent a price point between $199 and $149.

So you're essentially asking for a $100 price drop.
