Actually enjoying it quite a bit. Seems like most players approach the missions tactically and it can get real intense real fast. Again, I think it’s going to have a hard core niche fan base. Seems very similar to GTFO, for reference. If you didn’t like the PVP nature and/or community of Siege but enjoyed its approach to tactics and weapons, definitely give this a shot.

Rainbow Six Extraction isn’t bad. In theory, it’s exactly what you would hope for. In a game billed as a spin-off of Rainbow Six Siege but which acts as more of an expanded version of what was already an expansion, it gives you a bit more of some proven mechanics and throws in a few new ideas while it’s at it.

At a lower-than-normal price point, it’s a game that will be worth it to fans who purely want more Siege gameplay or are invested in the lore. But with new ideas comes a lot of risk, and Extraction fails to line up its good ideas with its actual gameplay.

I like Rainbow Six and this team has earned some trust with the way that game turned out. I bet the mechanics are great.

But I don't know how you market zombie modes anymore. At least to me. It's the least exciting aesthetic or game mode you can offer me right now. So played out.

I downloaded this via game pass but have no desire to even boot it up. It looks bad even though it has reviewed way better than I thought it would.

Make a fucking normal Rainbow Six game without specialists and other bullshit. Give me proper tactical hostage rescue missions with realistic mechanics and planning scenarios at the start of each mission, oh and absolutely unforgiving combat. I would love to see a proper sequel to Raven Shield!

Played it yesterday with 2 buddies, the game is a lot better than the review said. It's little bit repetitive and I'm not a big fan of forcing us to change operative between missions but there is some potential.

I actually thought that concept was interesting. I'd love to see more games punish failure more harshly than "Go back to checkpoint and try again."

I've only played for ~90 minutes but it's better than I expected. It's done enough for me to want to see more.

I get the point, but it's hard to get better when you have to switch tactics every time because you don't have the same weapon and the same ability.

ACG is one of the reviewers I seem to agree on takes with. Therefore, I will check this out on his suggestion. Though it is pretty obvious what you are getting from this game from watching the videos

Enjoying the heck out of the game, especially playing solo, though if you get a good group who communicate and choose operators and loadouts that are actually good for the missions. . . game shines even more.

The most positive thing though is that they've got a fantastic foundation for building out the game from here. As mentioned above, the sci-fi nature of the game gives them a wide berth to add content to the game.

. . . however, I will say that the game is a bit slow on the beginning when you haven't unlocked much, but once you've got some great tech unlocked and some high level operators, the game really opens up at higher levels/more complex maps. Definitely try the game if you've got Gamepass.

These types of games is the reason I love gamepass , I wouldve never bought it my self but my god the game is addicting and fun for short periods of time especially with friends
It's a bit grindy , and with some regular ubisoft bs but it's a solid pve coop shooter.
The higher difficulty is where the game shines

Can't stop playing this game. Its so good. Its kind of doable with randoms as well, but for the best results you need a good team. If you have a shit team, just extract or lose your operator for the time being. I kind of like that mechanic. You can't rely on just one operator, this way you will likely play them all.

Its very addicting. I am at 87% study of NYC. I probably try to 100% it before I try the second area. Every time you roll 3 different objectives at a different map, so its never the same. Its not likely that you'll complete 3 objectives straight away. I think I succeeded after my 10th try or so. It kind of depends who you're being paired with, and what objective you get. I think those rescues are a pain when they're at the 2nd or 3rd area.

Those techs are really clutch. Like decoys or turrets when you have these hold control point objectives that unleash hordes on you. And barricade helps you controlling incoming enemies also. I notice lots of players don't use it.

Well actually I had some good times in this game tonight. I just could not stand Back4Blood (not the same type of pve coop of course, but anyway..), but enjoyed this one so far.

Anyway, I spent too much time trying to figure out how to play this through Gamepass, wasn't able to find it in the app.. In the end I found a link via Google Search to connect and download the game through Ubisoft Connect.

Never played a Rainbow Six before, but I gave it a go because GamePass.

Uninstalled it after the tutorial, I hate the rigidity of the controls and the guns handling, it feels like an old or cheap shooter. It's like your character has no physics and you just move a camera. Also no jumps? And zombies/aliens...nah, I don't have time for this.

No Ubi hate, just started AC Valhalla, it's great so far.

I put this on thinking it'd probably be a bit of fun. Turned out it was boring, bland as fuck, had zero originality, zero atmosphere. Fucking terrible "game." The enemies provided no challenge, the "quests" were laughable. The "areas" on the map were all the fucking same. The only reason shit like this gets released is because the barrier is so low that kids these days will accept anything. I would rather have played Battlefield 2042. That's how bad this game is. I got paired with some guys who decided it was more fun to shoot each other than do the mission. I quit out and got a 5 minute ban. That was the best fucking thing about the game. I genuinely feel sorry for the poor bastards who bought this full price and are stuck convincing themselves it's challenging and fun, cos it ain't. It's dogshit on a stick

I played like 10 minutes of the boring asa tutorial, played a couple matches, got my one achievement and I’m ready to delete it.
Way too late to add to Siege.

Rainbow Six Extraction converts much of Siege’s content library into an approachable co-op shooter, providing a tense environment for players of all skill levels. However, in a series of industry-defining hits, this installment feels incredibly safe and markedly less gripping than its predecessor. We hope our Rainbow Six Extraction review is useful for those still deciding if it's worth buying.

deal with it, this isn't R6 Siege and won't get the same support. Wake Up.

rainbow six siege got the same reception, maybe even worse. it actually got popular quite some time after its launch. it was far from today's r6 siege. so this game could be a hit down the road, in spite of its reviews. Same as Sie of thieves, for honor and many other gaas games. but it could disappear like many others, too.

While I didn't love the game overall I have to say I did think it got the shaft in weird ways. Overall it seems that most gamers are enjoying it.
