Ok...so I am playing around with Redhat/Linux at work changing my desktop options and I remove the trash icon from the desktop. Now I need to have it back because other people use this computer but I have no idea how!

As far as I know this is Redhat 9.x, using GNOME, and Nautilus 2.4 if that matters...

If there is an option to restore the entire desktop to default that would be best...but I'll settle on how to restore the trash icon and/or the Home Folder icon.

Thanks

aaaaargh!!

Ok I give up...and it seems like nobody here knows either.

Guess I have to deal with no trash on my desktop.

Better Solution: Use KDE.

Actually, I'd like to help you, but I don't know where GNOME stores its desktop files before it copies them to a user's home directory... or even if it uses a desktop file for trash... for all it's advertised "simplicity", GNOME's inner workings have become more and more obfuscated.
