There’s patches on the game that you can use to make the game run better.I've tried everything. It crashes randomly. The official website and forums also states the same. What is this specific build you are talking about?

What games are crashing for you and what’s your specs on your PC? This emulator is still quite demanding in specs for certain games.Garbage emulator, everything is crashing. You would think they would come further after so many years on patreon

Just tried out RPCS3 for the first time today, and HOLY SHIT, this is fucking awesome! I should have done this sooner, but didn't get a compatible disc drive till now.
I'm downsampling the graphics from 5K to 1440p, much better IQ than PS3 at 720p.
So far I've only transferred over some disc games, currently looking into getting my digital PSN games working.
My PS3 is about to get a lot less usage now that I can play my games on PC with any controller, much better image quality, while running quieter, and sometimes having the ability to unlock the framerate.
It needs CPU more than GPU. Even ancient hardware can handle many games. Ratchet and Clank and the more complex titles will require a pinch more.I'm guessing you need an RTX 3090 or higher to play this at decent speeds?
You are guessing wrong, I have a 2015 i5 and a and 380x and many games run full speed with upscaled resolution except games like mgs4 or uncharted.I'm guessing you need an RTX 3090 or higher to play this at decent speeds?
No, Cpu first. As a general rule of thumb for emulation. Any half way modern gpu will do unless you upscale to very high resolutions. Otherwise buying a better CPU or overclocking (though thats not really a thing anymore,is it) will see much, much higher performance benefits.I'm guessing you need an RTX 3090 or higher to play this at decent speeds?
RPCS3 is a PlayStation 3 emulator for Windows, Linux and Mac. In this episode we take a look at the V0.0.28 update, its advancements this emulator has seen in the past year with some seriously impressive results.
They want people to pay for cloud streaming, not to play the games they already ownWhy doesn't Sony just hire them already
According to video and wiki page, its playable at high resolution and unstable 60 fps. However game is still prone to crashes, freezes and other issues which may require some tinkering and fan patches. How does mgs4 play on this? I have a ps3 and have mgs4 somewhere at my parents house, but this could be a better way.
Why doesn't Sony just hire them already
Because -according to the maker of the emulator and a main PS3 ICE Team (main Sony game engine used back then) Insomniac engine programmer- it's technically impossible to properly emulate PS3 in a PS4 or PS5 hardware, at full performance and with no bugs, at least with the games that take full advantage of its hardware. Why doesn't Sony just hire them already
Yes, I've tried MGS4 on this emulator and it has severe problems running it. It takes ages to compile the shaders, apparently due to the fact that this game was developed on early ps3 hardware and was not optimized.
Demon Souls does work great and the emulator even has inbuilt patch downloader for 60 fps mods.
I only use RPCS3 for Daytona USA anyway.
