I wanted to know how to shrink this

down to avatar size, since I don't know much about Photoshop to do it myself

Or if someone could do it for me, I'd appreciate that too

I tried, but Photoshop doesn't allow you to open an animated gif. You can only view one frame.

How do you resize them?

In Photoshop you File -> Jump to ImageReady. Then Image -> Image Size. Finally, Save Optimized As. I use Ulead Gif Animator, though, but the concept is the same.
