T.L.D.R. The Lockpick software that allows keys to be dumped from a Nintendo Switch recieved a DMCA request from Nintendo. Skyline itself is legal and will remain up for download, but further development might put the team in legal trouble.

Ryujinx developers have responded on their Discord saying that they will not be stopping development of their own emulator.

From what I gather, DMCA doesn’t effect anyone unless they are breaching said DMCA.

If it’s clean code then Nintendo and any other company can’t really do anything legally.

They can however bully and bankrupt folk with legal costs. (Sony and Bleemcast for example)

Am sure Github has reversed DMCA takedowns in the paste that don’t actually break any DMCA, am sure the rockstar one for the reversing of GTA3 and VC was reversed as they didn’t break any laws. (Civil matters)

Good for them.

Nintendo is just using brute force and threats without real legal backing, just because one of their games got leaked.
Yuzu and Ryuji are already matured enough anyway, so Nintendo can stop barking.

Petty as usual. Just stfu and enjoy the massive success. The number of people who do this is so miniscule it's irrelevant.
