I need to ask... how exactly are you supposed to know they are holding back on a game? And if their intention is to support both gens, what makes this anti consumer?Supporting last gen systems isn't anti consumer. However letting last gen systems hold next gen systems back is anti consumer.
However this can be solved if developers make two different versions of the same game. That way each version can take full advantage of the hardware that they are on.
And I agree that communication is key here. If support is going to be dropped consumers need to know that ahead of time. Which is what both Microsoft and Sony have done.
Also... does it mean that any dev that doesn't support all features that would've been impossible to replicate on past gen anti consumer? Is it mandatory to do that to not be anti consumer? I don't follow on this logic, really!
