So is MS going to brush off Direct X 9.0?

Like they don't put much emphasis on DX 9.0 other than the few games being released that have some DX 9.0 features.'

I heard they're going to shift their focus to Direct X 10 that will be utilized with Longhorn.


Has there been any changes plans now that XNA has been revealed?

huh? Just about every decent game released these days has DX9 featueres. They can't build fully DX9 games though because such a small segment of the computer population has DX9 cards (all those Joe Users still think a Geforce 4 MX is high-tech and should run all the newest games).

DX9c will be released with Service Pack 2... We will need to wait for Longhorn for the next version after that.

I saw the Direct X guys on MSDN TV (YTV 25 toronto) and they were
talking about DX 9 and .NET.

though the did say something about longhorn, I don't remember what they said exactly.
