Once again re-posting final predictions from previous pages for those who are curious and missed it -
Final predictions - these are based on logical guesses and research based on what the companies have marketed over the past few months and me working in the industry myself and what is on the horizon. I do have to specify that I DO NOT have any Insider source on this SoP. These are all just very well thought out guesses.
Square Enix
- Final Fantasy Stranger in Paradise Reminder with a new Demo
- Final Fantasy 16 New Trailer with either Release Date or a Release Window assuming end of the year or early 2023. We know this game got officially delayed by 6 months as Square Enix announced so previously and the new big reveal is in Spring of 2022. Guess what March is...Spring.
- Very tiny chance of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 getting a title/confirmation trailer reveal with a "More Info At So and So/Season"
Capcom
- Street Fighter 6 is confirmed to be showcased in Summer, March is NOT summer. Capcom have said this after they announced Street Fighter 6, will be most likely at EVO 2022 in August or earlier.
- Pragmata is possible, finally some gameplay if they do showcase it. It has been officially delayed to 2023 as Capcom already announced the delay earlier.
- Next-gen Monster Hunter won't be announced until Monster Hunter Sunbreak is released for the Nintendo Switch and Capcom is doing a separate livestream for that on March 15th that is 20 minutes long. I expect an announcement of new-gen Monster Hunter next year.
- Resident Evil 4 Remake does have a possibility, this is supposed to be the next big Resident Evil release
- Resident Evil 8 DLC probably won't be here, as it is DLC and not a new title and can simply be posted/announced by Capcom themselves
- Resident Evil 9 is years out, you won't see this till most likely 2024 or 2025 as far as announcement goes.
From Software
Elden Ring just came out, I highly doubt From Software had much time working on anything else besides trying to finish Elden Ring due to the coronavirus. There always have been rumors floating around that From Software is working on exclusive game with Sony/Microsoft but i really don't know how true this is. I could maybe see
Armored Core 6 as Miyazaki has talked about that for a long time and it is believed that that is their next big title.
Konami
Few years ago there were a ton of rumors on a Silent Hill game, but as far as we know the
Silent Hill domain lapsed and someone bought it and is now
trolling Konami. If Silent Hill is real in any capacity then I feel like it would be here. But to be quite frank, I do not believe it will be.
Bluepoint
According to
Colin Moriarty tweet back in October of 2021
(Colin runs the biggest well known gaming podcast on Patreon and is a EX-IGN writer who's been in the industry for many years) Bluepoint is on a journey to Yharnam and one of the titles is the Remaster and the other is a sequel so yes Bloodborne II. I can see the remaster being totally real and I would assume they would be working closely with From Software on this and this would be considered as a Japanese published game since Sony owns them. Bloodborne Remaster is very possible, but once again I'll believe it when I see it. As far as the sequel goes I would go play Elden Ring right now and not worry about it. if it does exist in any capacity then you won't be seeing it for a long time.
The 100% No's
- No Ghostwire Tokyo. Game had a 20 minute SoP dedicated to it back in February with a release date and a ton of game info and footage. Bethesda is also NOT a Japanese publisher, Tango Gameworks is part of Bethesda and is a Japanese Developer. If it does show up in any capacity its because it's too remind people that it's coming later this month.
- No God of War Ragnarok, will most likely get its own dedicated SoP later down the line similar to GT7, Ghostwire Tokyo, Horizon Forbidden West and Deathloop.
- No Infamous
- No Sly Cooper
- No Spiderman 2
- No Wolverine
- No Star Wars the Old Republic
- No Naughty Dog/TLOU Remake/Factions
