They were not. I greatly enjoyed both of them.
They are very much crossover based which I feel makes them Japan only (I forget if all the mainline entries were localised or not). The sources don't mention it but is this Japan only for now? Would really like another Tales game on 3DS.
It's hard to take your crusade against the games seriously when you say you haven't played them and you can't "give a fair judgement."Good for you, but most of the people who bought them don't agree, i only tried the Japanese demo of Innocence so i can't give a fair judgment but based on what i played i agree with them.
That helped it as well. The US had Devil Survivor Overclocked as well, which was released a month before Awakening here in Europe. I think after Abyss's release in 2011, we didn't get one RPG in 2012.Wasn't TotA3DS the only JRPG on the system for like two years?
Looks like one and a half in Europe and one in the US before FE:A came out.

Wow, damning a game because it has mediocre graphics.
No, they didn't tried hard at all. It's not like they were new games either, sure they were remakes but remakes of DS titles that didn't sell that much either.
So as a relative newbie to the Tales series (I've only played Symphonia, Destiny, Eternia and Abyss), what is this game like from a gameplay point of view? Is it like Project X Zone, because that's always what I've imagined a Tales SRPG would be like.
They were not. I greatly enjoyed both of them.
The ports were bad though. They didn't even bother upgrading the models. They just slapped the game on the Vita and increased the resolution to match and the screen and done. It probably didn't even take them a few months or a month at all to port it.
This is so stupid, why do all devs go out of their way to avoid Nintendo even when its clear there are money to be made there
No they were plain bad games.

I don't get the hate for Tempest, granted while I have not played it, I have seen vids on YouTube and it looks pretty snazzy. Surprised that a full 3D Tales is on the system (Innocence is as well).
WHAT IS SO BAD ABOUT IT?! XD
Also, I'll say it, I'd love for Dimps to remake it on 3DS as Tales of the Tempest R, there, I said it!

Not as bad as Tales of the Tempest.
Thankfully Tales spinoff games have a perfect localization record.
Yes, they have a near perfect record of not being localized.
Wait, something broke the perfect record of Tales spinoffs NOT being localized?

To be fair, retail titles weren't in the eShop when Tales of the Abyss launched. I'm baffled that it isn't on there now, but it wasn't at the time because the first retail game wouldn't launch for six more months.I would expect his source to be banned on GAF - but nevermind i think Tales of the Abyss sold very well here in europe, they had to reprint it here in germany a bunch of times. Bamco also screwed up for not having a eShop release, but these companies just wont learn when it comes recognizing sleeper hits.
The first Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology got released in North America.

Still no Crush3D or Shinobi...Hey, Sega FINALLY put Super Monkey Ball 3D on the eShop just the other day, never say never.
Because they finally considered 3DS an option again after 2 failures on the vita, despite tales of abyss 3DS being a success.
Tales of the Abyss got localized and the other 2 didn't, they weren't even given a chance.
Solved it! The developer of Tales of the World: Tactics Union, is one you're all very familiar with, but isn't normally tied to the series.
The developer is *drumroll*...
Jupiter!

Good find, thanks. Wonder who did the original music in the game, there are some nice piano pieces.

I'd rather that second DS game got ported and localized..was it called Innocence? I remember hearing good things about that, and how it was much better than that arse Tempest one
Famitsu's coverage seems to confirm that this is a port of the smartphone game: http://remoon.blog15.fc2.com/blog-entry-30108.html
