Corsair has now announced that its bendable version will cost $300 more, which actually sounds reasonable. It is not just a crazy expensive prototype.

Besides 240Hz refresh rate, the monitor features 3440x1440 resolution (21:9), 0.03 ms (g2g) or 0.01 ms (on/off) response time, 1000 nits peak brightness, anti-reflective coating, pixel-level luminance control for 1,350,000:1 contrast ratio, VRR support (Nvidia G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium), and a 3-year "Zero Burn in and Zero Dead Pixel Warranty".

The Corsair Xenoen Flex 45WQHD240 can be pre-ordered now for $2000 / €2400 / £2100 from Corsair's website, and is expected to ship in late 2022 or early 2023, depending on your region.

This is not to be confused with the curved 45inch screen from the other thread that is also as 240hz. This one costs $300 more and is bendable, with 240hz, VRR support, 3340x1440 res, and other features.

I can't see myself paying that much without 4K advanced HDR and other benefits, but I guess the extra pricing comes with being able to bend it.

I don't know, I used a 55" 4K display as a monitor for a while and I was wishing it was curved because I couldn't see it all. I ended up replacing it with 3 27" monitors on adjustable swivel arms and it's so much better.

is there a significant difference between 60hz and 120hz and between 120hz and 240hz?
60 to 120hz is significant, with around half the input lag. You kind of hit the point of diminishing returns at 165hz where you'll notice less of a difference going above that.

The higher up you go the better the input lag (depending on monitor, panel and input settings). And for 240hz does give you way less, which is nice for competitive games. And makes it a much smoother experience, in both regular desktop browsing and gaming.

60Hz16.67 ms8.33 ms
120Hz8.33 ms4.17 ms
