Starfield frame rate comparison comparing the framerate/fps on Xbox Series X vs Xbox Series S.

The version tested was 1.7.29.0.Xbox Series X renders at a resolution of 2560x1440 and uses FSR 2 to reconstruct a 3840x2160 resolution.

Xbox Series S renders at a resolution of 1600x900 and uses FSR 2 to reconstruct a 2560x1440 resolution.

Both consoles appear to be using VRS.

Both consoles can occasionally experience large frame time spikes https://bit.ly/48kM7Ul

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Pretty much locked FPS outside of some areas, IQ looks clean w/ good FSR upscale.

Hopefully they're able to add a 40hz mode in a future update.

It looks good and runs solid on both, that's good to see.

They did the upscale well also, quite a change from some of the recent results on that front.

Played it on my s for a few hours. It’s pretty great actually. It certainly is a touch blurry though on my old 60 inch 1080p tv but it’s totally playable, even with the crap 30 fps.

Definitely a great port in my mind so far

When they were talking about id helping out with graphics they must have meant VRS, good thing is that Tier 2 VRS is now so good that it's unnoticeable.

VRS on Xbox looks worse than VRS on PC (based on Alex findings) and brings almost no performance gains. VRS is useless in most games.

FSR3 is only useful with a baseline of at least 60 FPS per AMD, it's not gonna turn 30 FPS games into 60+.

Nvidia frame gen can make some decent results when game runs 40FPS internally, I think Starfield is like that most of the time on SX.
