Because WB likes money and they know it's smart to keep the Batman gaming rights? They can just license the IP.

They don't want to find themselves in the same situation that happened to Marvel with movie rights for their IPs.

I wonder what the value really is given how Square-Enix just sold Crystal Dynamics and other studios with their IPs for only $300 million

Rocksteady & others are obviously great studios but without owning the IPs are we still talking billions? (not including the cost of licensing of said IPs)

Square is the typical Japanese mess that cannot see beyond its '90s ass. They just wanted to get rid of the Western division ASAP.

Embracer and Microsoft now have access to tons of their own cool IPs from the past they'll always need more studios to work on them

Pretty much. Its a shame they had really talented teams. Sure avengers wasn't great but the games they put out more recently are good!
