I absolutely love this song :)
I use to absolutely love the Libertines & Babyshambles when I was younger and saw Babyshambles about 15 years ago in Loughborough what was incredible as they even played some of their best Libertines stuff!
Anyway this new song By Peter Doherty, gives me Smiths/Morrissey vibes too.
Looked him up out of curiosity to see if he is still alive, and was happy to see he has been clean for over 2 years :)

We ain't outta here in ten minutes, we won't need no rocket to fly through space
New Kendrick, The Smile (half of Radiohead) and Moderat albums in one day. What a blessing.

NO PAIN TRANCE CONTINUE

I know, I know I've let you down
I've been a fool to myself
I thought that I could live for no one else
But now, through all the hurt and pain
It's time for me to respect
The ones you love mean more than anything
So, with sadness in my heart
Feel the best thing I could do
Is end it all and leave forever
What's done is done, it feels so bad
What once was happy now is sad
I'll never love again
My world is ending
I wish that I could turn back time
'Cause now the guilt is all mine
Can't live without the trust from those you love
I know we can't forget the past
You can't forget love and pride
Because of that, it's killing me inside
It all returns to nothing
It all comes tumbling down
Tumbling down, tumbling down
It all returns to nothing
I just keep letting me down
Letting me down, letting me down
In my heart of hearts
I know that I could never love again
I've lost everything, everything
Everything that matters to me matters in this world
I wish that I could turn back time
'Cause now the guilt is all mine
Can't live without the trust from those you love
I know we can't forget the past
You can't forget love and pride
Because of that, it's killing me inside
It all returns to nothing
It just keeps tumbling down
Tumbling down, tumbling down
It all returns to nothing
I just keep letting me down
Letting me down, letting me down
It all returns to nothing
It just keeps tumbling down
Tumbling down, tumbling down
It all returns to nothing
I just keep letting me down
Letting me down, letting me down
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Tumbling down
Tumbling down
Tumbling down
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Letting me down
Letting me down
Letting me down
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Tumbling down
Tumbling down
Tumbling down
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Letting me down
Letting me down
Letting me down

NO PAIN TRANCE CONTINUE
Love their Time(travel) album

Well, I came a long way to be here today
And I left you so long on this avenue
And here I stand, in the strangest land
Not knowing what to say or do
As I gaze around at these strangers in town
I guess the only stranger is me

And I wonder (yes, I wonder), yes, I wonder (oh, I wonder)
Is this the way life's meant to be?
Although it's only a day since I was taken away
And left standing here looking in wonder
(it's your life, it's your life)
Oh, the ground at my feet, maybe it's just the old street
But everything that I know lies under (it's your life, it's your life)
And when I see what they've done to this place that was home
Shame is all that I feel
Oh, and I wonder (oh, I wonder) yes I wonder (wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder)
Is this the way life's meant to be?
Too late, too late to cry , the people say
Too late for you, too late for me

You've come so far, now you know everything , my friend
(Look and see the wonders of our world)

And I wonder (oh, I wonder), yes, I wonder (yes, I wonder)
Is this the way life's meant to be?

As I wander around this wreck of a town
Where people never speak aloud
With its ivory towers and its plastic flowers
I wish I was back in 1981

Just to see your face, instead of this place
Now I know what you mean to me, ooh

And I wonder (oh, I wonder), yes, I wonder (yes, I wonder)
Is this the way life's meant to be?

And I wonder (oh, I wonder)
Yes, I wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder
Is this the way life's meant to be?

Ooh, I wonder
Oh, I wonder, wonder, wonder
Is this the way life's meant to be?
Oh, is this the way life's meant to be?
Mm, is this the way life's meant to be?

I wanna know now, is this the way life's meant to be

Time travel could be so overrated, feelings of dissociation, different ways of social norms to fill in etc. Love this song because it really makes your wonder (no pun intended) how time travel could have such a psychological and emotional impact on you, when stuck

Love ELO

Kendrick. Dude makes a trans acceptance song and he's already getting flamed for it by the danger hair crowd :messenger_tears_of_joy:
album still kicks ass.

btw.
a song about trans acceptance receiving criticism because Kendrick didn't use the right pronouns and said faggot... some people really meticulously look for the elephant in the room or the hair in the soup it seems.
this is still a song with a positive message. And I agree, you shouldn't use slurs like faggot like they grow on trees, but if you have a reason to say it, if it makes sense that you say it and if the context isn't negative towards LGBTQ people, I think using it is definitely justified. In the Kendrick song he didn't say it to insult someone from the LGBTQ community. He outright says, that he shouldn't have said it casually when he was younger. It's introspective. And him actually using the f-word in that context gives it nuance and strength. He says " I ain't know any better", "Elementary kids with no filter however" suggesting some form of regret.
as for the pronouns... I mean yeah, it's not like I now can say something against it, because technically they're right, it's just... can't you see at the bigger picture? That the song is positive, acknowledges past mistakes and helps moving the conversation in the right direction? there may be small issues with the song, but we really shouldn't be small minded petty nit pickers.

Can’t believe that two of my favourite bands - who both had said their last album is done - have released new albums this month

Moderat sounds amazing in Dolby Atmos.

Rest

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
Three Inches of Blood - Deadly Sinners (demo version)

Don't walk the cold and ruthless streets
They drain the life from all they meet
The servants crying underground
Smelling mortal blood like hounds

As you crawl the sewer pipes
Deadly sinners set to strike
As you walk around the bend
You'll be dead right there where you stand

Flash of iron, leather, spikes, and swords
Mighty warriors with metal on their side
Enemies of metal, your death is our reward
Triumphant victory when you bring the steel to life

Deadly Sinners! (Victory!)
Deadly Sinners! (When you bring!)
Deadly Sinners! (The Steel to Life!)

Deadly Sinners! (Victory!)
Deadly Sinners! (When you bring!)
Deadly Sinners! (The Steel to Life!)

Crushing the light, stalking the night
Deadly sinners always win
Kill the tyrant's endless conquest
With no mercy, straight for his heart

Bloodlust will overtake anger and violence
Without warning, lightning strikes in the dark
Strikes you in the dark
Lightning strikes
The Dark

Ruling the Night!
Winning the Fight!
Taking It All!
Deadly, deadly sinners, you at night!

Flash of iron, leather, spikes, and swords
Those mighty warriors with metal on their side
Enemies of metal, your death is our reward
Triumphant victory when you bring the steel to life

Deadly Sinners! (Victory!)
Deadly Sinners! (When you bring!)
Deadly Sinners! (The Steel to Life!)

Deadly Sinners! (Victory!)
Deadly Sinners! (When you bring!)
Deadly Sinners! (The Steel to Life!)

Ruling the Night!
Winning the Fight!
Taking it all right to the end!
Ruling the Night!
Winning the Fight!
Take one last step before you die!

album still kicks ass.

If there's one artist alive that I think is uncancelable, it's Kendrick. The man has something to say, and low-effort criticism won't stop him.
