They always do this, it's called marketing. Almost every PlayStation exclusive game has featured a trailer like this before the game could launch. From recent memory:

Never thought I would see the day where a Wolverine game trailer is boring...but that's what this trailer was. The action looks so sanitized. It's not gritty, there's no dismemberment, it doesn't feel violent - it's like it's trying to emulate it, like a bad choreographed movie.
