Hhhnnnnnnggg. I'm gettin there with 7 weeks of MP left. It'll be the first platinum that I'll have worked my ass off for (my only other platinum is The Walking Dead and it required no effort).

I would have a plat for Persona 4 Golden if not for that near-impossible Rise trphy.

That trophy is so dumb. I would have went for platinum if it weren't for that one. That and the book trophy with easily missable book.

Congrats

My turn is coming up. Only have 2 weeks of MP left

Thanks. Be careful on your last 100% risk mission.

Yeah, it seems incredibly unfun and tedious keeping track of Rise's lines. Couldn't bring myself to do it. TLOU's MP trophies require at least 25-30 hours but at least it's fun! lol

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
Oh man, I would be furious if I messed that up lol

I saved up the heal team mates and gift box missions so it should be easy enough.
Yeah those are the easiest by far.

If you don't get most (if not all) you need on the first of 3 matches just quit to the dashboard so you won't lose the day.

Healing is easier said than done though. I'd make sure you get close to to a teammate who you can quickly heal.

The MP trophies don't require near that.

If you skip days you can get them in under 20 hours easily.

Might as well cross-post this from the MP thread:

A short clip of me wiping out the entire enemy team. Felt good, GAF. Felt good.

I got the most amount of downs I've ever gotten that match:

Unfortunately, though, we still lost the match :( Two of my teammates left us to fend for ourselves. To be fair, though, we did pretty well...considering they only had 3 lives left.

What weapons should I focus on upgrading at the bench?

If you are going for a platinum trophy make sure you save a good amount of parts to upgrade the late game weapons first. Although it is possible to upgrade all weapons playing through just twice, there is a chance that you'll miss enough parts so that you will require a few extra from a third play through to get everything upgraded fully.

To minimise the effort needed on this third play it is worth not bothering to upgrade the early weapons in your first or second play through and saving your parts solely for the later weapons you receive (e.g. the flamethrower/El Diablo). This way if you don't get enough parts on two runs you only have to play the first couple of chapters rather than the whole game to ensure you have unlocked the later weapons in order to upgrade them.

Are you sure it is one of the conversations that counts towards the trophy and are you sure you haven't gotten that one already?

Yeah I started a new game and i've been following a guide to the tee. I have 9 conversations and after the tenth one, the statistics page remains at 9 every time. I don't know if I have it in me to start over again for the 4th time.

oh boy.... i think i will bite. german retailer is offering ps4+two controllers + camera + this game for 449 € ... i wanted to play the ps3 version, but my console bugged out and i had to return it.

HOLY SHIT.

Got a glitch in the
hotel basement
during my Grounded run.
The whole ordeal was way too fucking hard, but I was super fortunate, in that, the second time I even managed to get the generator started, the Bloater didn't show up. I didn't have to fight a single infected on my way out.

I never fight anyone after the generator.
pick card key up before the generator kill the 4 easy hunters. then start generator. run past bloater and done.
takes seconds once you start the generator.

~50%, I'd say. Hope you've stocked up on smoke bombs.

you don't need smoke bombs.

Just take the left path down side of the house hit the stairs of the house, quickly jump back over the wall, wait for the 2 hunters to walk past then you can just sprint all down the left side of the map and straight in the back of snipers house without a worry

no collectibles or anything to worry about in that section.

Nice vid lol.

Thanks. I only like to break away from the group when they're stuck in those kind of situations...where everyone is just inching around corners of opposite ends of hallways or narrow corridor-type areas trying to kill each other. I find those situations pretty boring, so I just flank and SURPRISE MOTHER FUCKER. Lol.

I was really slow to like this game, but the more you play it, the more it gets its hooks in you. I just got to the University at 2:30 AM last night (after planning to only spend 1 hour playing) and am already itching to keep going.

Also, I tried the 30fps mode... and didn't realize how big of a difference it really is. After 60fps, 30fps feels like watching a slide show.I never thought I was particularly sensitive to frame rate, but... I guess I am.

Also, IMO, the shadows actually look BETTER in 60fps. The 30fps shadows are too well-definied and it makes them look aliased and sort of fake.

I have the platinum for the PS3 version, so working on the plat again for the PS4. Just have the MP trophies left.

This game gets better every time I play it. One of the (if not THE) greatest games of All Time.

Finished Left Behind yesterday... What a marvelous DLC. Naughty Dog is definitely on top of their game. LB showed to me how talented Neil actually is, even more so than in TLOU. Not to take anything from Bruce and the whole team, but creatively, LB is brilliant.

Btw
I loved how well they tackled Ellie being gay. They were pretty subtle about it, but you could notice that there was some attraction there without being too obvious. I thought they were attracted to each other when they finished taking pictures in the photo booth, but wasn't really sure. Then came that great scene. The writing was second to none.

Loved the game.

Yeah, it seems incredibly unfun and tedious keeping track of Rise's lines. Couldn't bring myself to do it. TLOU's MP trophies require at least 25-30 hours but at least it's fun! lol

Also, requires PS+. Mine expired last month and I was on week 3 of my last campaign. At least it gives me time to get all the goodies in single player.

Also, the difference is phenomenal in Grounded Mode+ knowing what you have to do the second time around. I am flying through. I'm at 7 hours and have reached Tommy and the powerplant!

I'll say it again for people having trouble with
the sniper during the time with Henry and Sam. Sneak around to the left. Let one dude pass, use the bow for the second dude and......RUN. All the way down to the fence. Hop over the wood pile and "gun it" to the back of the middle house and up the stairs. I had such a hard time with this during my first Grounded playthrough, but it really does help to run sometimes. It might not work every time but since this is a checkpoint it's not as bad if you get caught. The whole sequence took me about 5 minutes including protecting Henry, Sam, and Ellie with the sniper rifle.

Started Grounded now after finishing it on hard once. Sooo fucking good -- well, so far. I've just made it to the
hotel basement
so the difficult parts are still ahead of me, but man I enjoy this so much right now.

Just had the shiv bug in Grounded mode somebody mentioned earlier.

I had a full shiv in my inventory but it still wouldn't open the door.

Thankfully I'm nearing the end of winter so I don't really need the supplies.

That was me. On my second Grounded play through so if it happens again, I'm ok with it.

What am I supposed to be seeing here? I don't see anything wrong.

Are you talking about the disappearing door in the back room? If so, that is very minor and I had to stare at this about 5 minutes to find something.

I think the issue is the camera moving side to side. Aside from that, I really don't see anything wrong.

EDIT: Ahh noticed now that the door is not there when the gif starts. That's minor indeed though.

Fellow grounded players: what were the hardest parts for you?

I got stuck countless times in a good five places, but the generator room was not one of them.

I had a similar thing happen to me. End game spoilers.

When Joel and Ellie are travelling through the abandoned underground roadway (?) right before they meet the Fireflies, there's supposed to be two bloaters and a bunch of clickers and runners in the passageway. None of them spawned and I just jogged to the next section. It's the last big action sequence in the game and I was a little disappointed that it glitched out on me.

Personally i'm really glad i played on survivor before attempting grounded. Taught me alot about the playing it much more cautiously and abusing the a.i enemies mechanics when you have npcs or saving resources by using bricks on clickers.

Haven't had much trouble but if i had to choose the Winter sections were definitely the hardest,
especially the part on the lake with ellie on her own
.

Whenever you pick up an upgraded melee weapon from the ground you will get 1 full blade and 1 full binding crafting material.

So if you have an upgraded melee weapon on you and come across a melee weapon on the ground, swap them and swap back to the upgraded melee weapon and craft a shiv. Rinse repeat.

Hallelujah! And thanks. I wouldn't be doing this if the game wasn't giving me so little materials that I can't get the shiv doors open even if I haven't shivved a single person in the game.

Not sure it is the hardest, but I died the most at the
sniper
part. I tried for a long time not using any supplies or ammo whatsoever, but I eventually gave in and used the smoke bombs.

I had that same thing happen on my Hard play-through. I was sort of disappointed. I'd rather have it happen during this Survivor run.

Just finished my Hard+NoListen run, first on PS4. Game still rocks, and it looks sooooo much better than on PS3. Naughty Gods indeed.

Nice moment that I had to export to YT :) [last level combat scene, i guess small spoilers]

Anyhow, what is saved in NG+ ? Just Weapon and Skill upgrades, or something more [artifacts, pendants, comics, shiv dors, etc]?

All the collectibles carry over so you don't have to get them again for it to count, though they'll still be there in NG+ if you wanna pick them up anyway. The shiv door trophy also counts the ones you've previously opened so you don't have to get those again either, but they'll still be there.

Are they not present anymore in levels? I just need to find what is missing?

For the most part they'll spawn again even if you picked them up in a previous game. Some won't, because I remember things like some upgrade manuals and weapon level upgrade boxes you picked up previously won't be there.

The part where you have to push the truck was the hardest as I was almost out of ammo.

I shat my pants so many times in the generator room section in my first playthrough that I learned what to do every step of the way. When you know when and where the runners and the bloater will spawn, it's actually a really easy section.
