Yeah, this is a thing of beauty right now, that conversion rate. Just got like 170 volumes of manga/light novels (equivalent, since a number of them are bunko versions of series) for like $500, all brand new! (Before anyone starts judging me, at least know that it helps a lot to go balls to the wall when importing this stuff to cut down majorly on shipping costs, so this is at least not something I do often!)
Also, while I'm thinking of it: where's the best place to order the Bishoujo Jubilee figure? Pretty much the only thing with a release date that I intend to throw my money at in terms of figures right now (well, except the devil that is steadily eating my wallet, otherwise know as Amiibos...)

I got another $40 dollar gift card from my secret Santa at my work Xmas party on Saturday and they had the Cliff Chiang Batman B&W on the clearance for $55 so before 2015 hit I went and grabbed it before I went into work today.

Are the Batman B&W statues nice? I am really on the fence about the Jock one that should be getting reissued soon.
I love them. I am looking at the Jock one also. I want to get Capullos Joker and Bats. My Harley Quinn one is just perfect.

Yeah. Azzarello and him wanted todo a Noir Batman under the Vertigo line but DC rejected it. How cool would have that been?

Edit: Meant to say this the other day but forgot. I gave away my Catwoman new 52 volumes to a co worker. She loves Catwoman and was going to buy some books so I just gave her them. Masterpieces deserve to be shared.
They are pretty nice, but I feel like they're generally a bit overpriced for the size they come in.

Joe Quinones posted some superhero redesigns he did on tumblr. Figured Messi would like this since he posted a Harley picture.

I am not mad about any of them other than Black Canary. But his art is wonderful and whenever he gets to draw Harley he does a great job. I wish he was on a dc ongoing like Zatanna or Black Canary.
His all female Justice League would be awesome.
Too Bad DC wont do it.

I saw a book at the shop called Justice and it had amazing Alex Ross artwork in it. Is this a good story?

So, this has been bugging me, but has anyone noticed DC changed Chiang's design for the Wonder Woman Art of War statue?
Notice the olive skin tone, as noted, and as it is mostly in the book?

It seems like they ignored it so it would look the rest of the line. I dunno, maybe it's nothing, but i liked his actual design for it better than it turned out.

The Inhumans are just sort of....there.
Like I get that Marvel has to push them for Summerslam but the characters just were never really compelling. Aside from a badass Black Bolt scene every once in awhile, does anyone really give a shit about Karnak or Gorgon?

I talked to Stegman back at the con in September and had him sign my Moon Knight variant he did and told him that is what he should be doing and he agreed with me. He said he would love to do Moon Knight one day.
Is there a way to get DC to answer as to why? Because i'm thinking they didn't want to ruin their line by having Diana have a different skin tone from the rest. I can't see a good answer outside " that color is not possible for statues".

He was there this year and he was the nicest guy at the show. I talked to him for a good 20 minutes or so.
When do tickets typically go live for NYCC? I have some money saved over in case I do decide to go, but you never know.

It's Alex Ross doing a "mature and modern" Superfriends versus Legion of Doom story, with as much Silver Age worshipping as he can fit onto the printed page. Whether that's good or bad depends on how thick your nostalgia goggles are. Taken on those terms, I enjoyed it with only a few reservations.
