Man folks getting super strength as they shrink is some obscure stuff. They haven't used it in years in the comics.

Looks ok I guess.

Is it just me or are some of the special effects a little...weird here. I can't articulate why that is but something feels off about them in this trailer.

I think they're trying to emulate this which can at times make it seem hokey.

Would've liked if they just greenscreened Paul Rudd in front of NatGeo footage of ants, for comedic reasons.

I love the the shallow DoF they've got for the shrunk-down scenes. As if it were actually macro video.

not a fan of the dialogue, but that train stuff at the end was hilarious

I was fairly underwhelmed until the train scene. I hope there are a lot more gags like that one, we already have enough conventional superhero movies.

Ehhh, still not really sold on this one. I feel like the generally light tone of all Marvel movies is kind of making it hard for this one to stand out. This movie should be extremely light hearted and fun, and maybe it is, but this trailer didn't seem like it was any different from, say, an Iron Man trailer. You've got some action scenes, some self deprecating jokes, and a quippy hero. GoTG really embraced the goofiness, and you kind of have to when you've got a talking racoon and living tree in your movie. I wish the trailer told me that Ant-Man was doing the same.

I don't know, something just feels off about this. The tone of the trailer suggests that Ant-Man should be a superhero that you take seriously, and I don't know if that's a good way to push a character like this.

Thomas' face could easily be replaced with the GAF logo. And to think we're just a few months from E3. I feel like this will get lots of mileage.

Didn't do much for me. Felt as if I've seen this trailer many times before. Middle aged white protagonist with witty one liners is given a shot to save every one he cares about. Villain is reminiscent of Obadiah Stane. Love interest reminds me of Peggy Carter.

Nothing too interesting for me. This trailer alone shows me they're even out of ideas.

That train gag - in terms of visuals - is straight out of the Edgar Wright comedy playbook. Well done for them for capturing it, thought it was brilliantly done.
