Can you imagine what would happen if Saitama went out of country for a month? Chaos all around. It's a good thing he's too poor to do that.

I guess Mumen Rider is all right. :p

I don't know how to feel about this show now, the last few episodes haven't been so great. In fact I would even call them annoying.

I guess it just annoys the hell out of me how Saitama keeps not getting any credit at all. I just don't find that situation fun or funny.
Genuine question here but is it for personal reasons it bothers you?

I wish he got credit for it too but I wouldn't say it's making me enjoy the Manga/show any less

That's just how the series is, and Saitama is way too apathetic to change that. Dude could quite easily prove his strength if he really cared. He could just ask Genos to bring in some fellow S class heroes and challenge them to a fight.

That being said (current ONE version manga spoilers)
Other heroes are taking notice and Saitama is right in the middle of a fight with Tatsumaki. Dude will have the attention of many people pretty soon probably.

This show is sooo good. I love how unexpectedly deep/emotional it can get sometimes.
Is it true that after ep 12 there might not be any more anime?

Only thing annoying is the mental gymnastics the general public has to do in order to defame Saitama as a hero.

Saitama blows up meteor to save the city -> HE DESTROYED THE CITY!

Saitama beats godly monsters -> He's a cheat! A fraud! The other heroes were also really weak!

I guess his true strength is far beyond their comprehension. It's like everyone is Hercule from DBZ, they will try to spin anything in order to explain the craziness they are witnessing.

It was pretty cool of Saitama to play the heel as a fraud in order to give props to the other heroes. The mob was damn near about to turn on the other heroes as well for being too weak. Which was also pretty awful... I mean people wouldn't turn on policemen if they couldn't deal with giant monsters.

There's an actual Hercule character that won't appear this season.

I think it's nice, now I don't really care if they get killed by some monster.

When Beefcake destroyed that city and landed on the other one all I kept thinking about was how many people died. Now? Pfft, should've punched a few more cities while he was at it.

To be fair, that one was less of a stretch. No one was around to see him punch the meteor after the other heroes failed and IIRC the perception was that he got in the way of the S classers doing their job properly. This is less on the public and more on the Tank Tops Black Hole and Tiger being jealous and starting rumors of Saitama cheating.

It's really the Hero association's fault for not putting out the facts of these situations.

God damn what an incompetent company.

Also their ranking/examination system is a god damn joke. But that's the point I guess.

It was evacuated.

So is there any reason the Manga slowed down considerably and chapters got shorter and shorter? Is Murata working on something else?

Have you seen the art quality? Anyway the manga is published online first so the chapters are usually short

What's up with Sweet Mask? Seems like his thing is burying other heroes.
Not really burying. He's the Gate Keeper to the S rank class in a way, and he seems primarily concerned with PR and how the Association (specifically, the S Class) is perceived. While he isn't a bad guy, his entire persona is the exact opposite of what Saitama believes in when it comes to Heroism.

Edit: Beaten like Mosquito Girl.

In addition to what everyone else has said, Murata and ONE keep adding bonus stories, and currently a kind of original filler arc to the manga to keep it from catching up to ONE's version, which has been very slowly lately with that, the anime, bonus stories and consultation on the redraw, and Mob Psycho 100.

Beefcake was monstrous in terms of power, almost everyone would've been destroyed

From the top of my head only Metal Knight (who could blow up a city without remorse if needed) and Tornado could beat it. Maybe Atomic Samurai, and maybe Metal Bat-level S class heroes, but it would be a giant boss scenario in that they would die if they get hit once.

Heh... there's a pretty fun bonus story that won't get animated unless they put it into a second season, but
Saitama dresses up like a police officer to stop a monster so that the police don't get embarrassed by people thinking they're useless compared to heroes. Even better because the cops in question were resentful towards Saitama at the beginning because they hate how the existence of heroes has made cops look like chumps.

Hah that's awesome.

You know, it's really disappointing they probably won't animate any side story from the manga. There's enough material there to last 6 full episodes at least. And it's all pretty darn great.

I know the Blu rays will have side stories, but they'll all be original and none of the stuff from the manga.

Monster ranking so far in the anime imo

1. The Giant Brother (just the physically strongest, a lot of raw power)
2. Carnage Kabuto (smart enough to tell Saitama's power)
4. Vaccine Man (could fly, throw energy attacks, destroy city blocks)
3. Sea King
4. Subterranean King (which is mostly my guess, I'm assuming he is almost on par with Sea King)
5. Mosquito Girl (just a lot more dangerous than Beast King taking into account all her abilities)
6. Beast King (Stronger than mosquito, but can't fly, etc)
7. Armored Gorilla
8. That Konbu Moster
9. Sea Monsters
10. Kamakiyuri
...chumps

edit: I think Carnage Kabuto may actually be way stronger than the giant brother now. Considering his creator was a much more brilliant scientist that the other brother.

LMAO @ that kill count.

Subterranean King looked like a scrub to be honest but with Saitama it's impossible to tell.

The creator of Mosquito girl himself said she was only a prototype and that her death didn't matter. So ranking her on top of Beast King seems weird.

I'm was going to put her lower than that, then I remember that she handled his ass back to Genos, although it is mostly due to how dangerous those mosquitoes seemed for a big city population.

Carnage Kabuto and Vaccine Man are both Dragon while the giant is just Demon.

Extollere

Sucks at poetry
Liked the episode. Dont really get why Saitama tries to divert the credit he's due.

Because Saitama didn't sacrifice anything. He has a hero's heart, but nothing to lose. When he came to the scene all the other heros had already sacrificed themselves to protect the others... in his worldview they are more likely worthy of praise than he is. Saitama isn't proud, he saved the day, but he didn't want their efforts and heroism to go unnoticed.

Blah... guess it was already answered... I never read the page before I post.

Couldn't resist and started reading the manga. It's amazing, ffs, next arc will be glorious.

I just wish they did the side stories, some of them are pretty good.
