As of the last update the female model is now in on Rust and when you start the game your character is generated again. For those who don't know Rust is a game with full nudity. Your race, body shape(including penis size) and now sex are completely randomized and tied to you Steam ID with no way of changing it. You use the same player model in every server.

We understand this is a sore subject for a lot of people. We understand that you may now be a gender that you don’t identify with in real-life. We understand this causes you distress and makes you not want to play the game anymore. Technically nothing has changed, since half the population was already living with those feelings. The only difference is that whether you feel like this is now decided by your SteamID instead of your real life gender.

These guys have tremendous balls. Gotta admit it was a bit jarring noticing that I went from a Caucasian guy with a chode(NSFW) to a Caucasian woman with no penis(NSFW). I think it's a very interesting thing they are doing.

Make gender a one-time permanent account choice. Everything else can be randomized. It's infuriating to wait half a year for this stupid update and still have the damned male player model, I don't have the heart to play anymore.

I can't really understand why people are annoyed, the characters were already completely random. The pool of randomness just expanded. I mean, it's nice to be able to choose a character and everyone is entitled to prefer a gender, race, species to play as in games in general, but that was never an option in this particular game anyway.
