I just think saying Studio Ghibli and Team Ico is largely redundant is all. Since TO was so heavily incluenced by Ghibli already in the first place.

Besides which I'd also argue the visuals take as much or maybe even more from previous Zelda games like The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword as they do Ico and SOTC. It's circular too though as you can also see a bit of OOT (among other games like Vagrant Story) in Team Ico's games too. Everyone pulls from everyone.

Neiteio!

The GIF is brutal :)

I have a theory about metal weapon which I fail to find any confirmation. Now, let's assume there is an enemy wielding a metal weapon, can I use the magnetic rune to suck away its weapon? This is a new strategy to disarm the enemies and I really wish this theory can be actualize in the game.

Haha, thank you!

I think I did see someone yank a weapon from an enemy and kill them with it using the magnets, so hopefully you can! Maybe it depends on how strong the enemy is? Maybe a huge Dark Knight won't let go as easily!

Wow! The gifs above. I wish the demo I played at Nintendo New York explained some of those awesome new features! Anyway its not surprise that it won the social media conversation. Its an important Legacy game.

Your body is ready?!?! Mine is too, so you must tell us about the demo you played! What did you think?! Were the lines really busy in the store? How'd it control?!

Legendary

Haha, thank you very much! I hope it gets some mileage!

In this clip, you can see how the magnesis can be used on an axe (and even be used to attack enemies),
so judging by the interactivity I've seen so far, I'd assume it would be possible. After all, we see enemies also picking up dropped weapons or items and interacting with fire, so I think Nintendo made something like that possible.

I'm really excited by how far they've taken their systems with the physics. The fire physics, heat/cold, destructibility, ragdoll physics, collision physics, kinetic energy, magnetism, etc. There are just so many systems in place and they all work so well together. I'm blown away because we've seen many games have these sorts of systems, and many with multiple types of physics at play, but I personally haven't seen many, if any, pull so many off so fluidly and so polished and have it seamlessly integrated right into the gameplay as well. With how much I've seen games fall apart with immersion breaking/or even game breaking glitches, I'm impressed with how they've executed everything.

The physics combined with the mobility and combat, there are a ton of combinations of ways to play.

Fun fact: Zelda has more tweets than the following three games combined.
I'm curious, since this says it only tracks mention by title, does that imply full title? Because I'm willing to bet most people just said new zelda, and didn't use the full "breath of the wild" subtitle

FFXV is lower than I expected... I think they showed some very decent trailers(minus that super out of place music)?

Anyway, Zelda's steam was a lot of fun to watch.

Not impressive at all, if Nintendo talked about something else apart from Zelda (like HL3), I doubt it would be the highest.

this game is attracting everyone. My friend who is a longtime microsoft only gamer wants to get an NX for BotW. I was surprised when he told me he was excited for it and was watching Treehouse on twitch

Haha, I was in those videos, too. I don't get why day three is the most insane. Running to keep up wasn't ideal, abd security begged usto slow down. People biffed it, people lost items, but if you didn't run, you didn't get in.

Is that data actually from Twitter?

Also, the trailer just passed 5 Million views on YouTube.

Yes, it's from a PR email.

With #E32016 drawing to a close today, Twitter has taken a look at the most talked about titles of the conference following a week of press conferences, gameplay reveals, ‘behind-the-scenes’ sneak peaks and hands on demo’s.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild from @NintendoAmerica is coming out on top of the charts with more than double the number of mentions of its nearest rival, @Battlefield. Sneaking in at last place, news that Vicarious Visions are working to remaster fan favourite Crash Bandicoot has helped him secure his spot in the top ten.

Twitter is where game publishers, the gaming media, popular game streamers and entertainers, eSports leagues, teams, players and commentators interact with their most engaged fans and with one another. Last year, there were nearly 84 million Tweets about gaming in 2015 in the US alone, according to Crimson Hexagon.

I still wonder what was up with the cut/problem in the Zelda trailer. It looks like something got cut because it got corrupted or something and they couldn't fix it in time.

I'm guessing something story important that got cut last second. Maybe they want to be much more vague?

It's an intentional cut to emphasize the climax of the trailer. They should've made it the black screen last a bit longer (like in the last scene when the trailer moves to show the Master Sword) so it doesn't look as cut off as it is now.

I really hope so! Among all the four runes shown in the demo, my favorite is the magnet. Man, so many possibility with this thing.

Yes, there are many systems here. The beauty of this Zelda is that all these physics/systems are logical and the ways they integrate into the gameplay is simply astonishing. Thinking that there are still many systems yet to be revealed makes me giddy. :)

Based on the twitter reactions and Wii-like stampedes, I'm wondering if this game might end up selling a lot more than most people expect. Skyrim sold something like ~20 million across 3 platforms, right? I wonder if this might end up getting somewhere close to 10M across Wii U and NX. I think TP topped the list for Zelda games close to 9M on GC and Wii, so it's definitely not out of reach for Zelda.

Nintendo really need to market this properly and extend the hype. Something like small monthly trailers or even weekly screenshots, like the Smash Brothers Dojo. That combined with the overall appeal of the NX will determine if this Zelda is as massive a success as it has the potential to be.
