Then why not buy a new console or upgrade your PC..? There are plenty of games out there that scratch that Nintendo itch. Colorful, fun, and inventive games like Grow Home capture the innovation and whimsy you expect from a Nintendo title. The depth and feel of adventure in games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne build on what was established in games like Zelda and Metroid. Then there's games like Axiom Verge straight up replicate class game design.

There are games out there for Nintendo fans, I don't know why some of you people don't just get other systems haha

I have a Wii U, Xbox One, PS4 and a PC

. Nothing scratches that special itch that only Nintendo is capable of. IMO nothing can compete with my favorite franchises that they own. But please, keep telling me how I can't be really excited for the NX reveal when there are other games on different consoles. Especially when they haven't released anything I find interesting in almost 2 years

Fans are literally desperate to know about NX and Nintendo decides not only to keep talking about their 5 year old handheld instead but even make it an entire Nintendo Direct just for it. Not even Wii U is going to be mentioned?? I'm done. This is going to be the first Nintendo Direct I will not watch. I have a 3DS but I haven't played it in years and simply none of the upcoming games for the system interest me so there's no reason for me to watch it.

Given the announcement of the Galaxy New 3DS XL, that would be incredibly strange timing for the price drop. Like, I'm still perplexed as to why the Galaxy 3DS XL announcement couldn't just wait till Thursday...though Reggie did seem pretty giddy about the device shipping this week and all.

We're due for more Monster Hunter Stories details, and a very likely announcement for Monster Hunter X G. Not sure what else is on the horizon in Japan, but those are two big games to cover.

There's a ton of Monster Hunter Stories info on the japanese Capcom channel. They are doing kind of tutoring videos where they explain every game system in detail.

As for Monster Hunter X G....I don't think this is happening, but I hope you are right

I'm calling it right now. Since this is a worldwide direct there will be atleast one big announcement for the world. Usually it's a brand new game coming. The Wii U is dead so nothing is coming for it. And I don't see any new games for the 3DS going to come.

The big announcement at the end of the Direct will be the NX reveal date! I'm putting all my chips in. I know they said no NX discussion, but they've lied plenty of times.

Japan may very well get footage of some new titles we will never see because A) Japan and B) #NX. The platform switch shenanigans in the West are honestly ridiculous, as seen in this thread.

Well, I guess we know where Nintendo's global marketing budget disappeared to. Can't have been cheap to get 3DS in the next Nintendo Direct, or to make Miyamoto sacrifice his dignity like that.

Still, I can't help but think this was money wasted on Nintendo's part. Since Nintendo doesn't have any products to promote at this point. Four years is a long time, should the NX fail there might not even be a Nintendo left to boast by the time of the next Nintendo direct.

I hope they do a final callout for Federation Force and show a short sizzle reel of fast action gameplay. Even showing off some of the best bits of the game to show how good it actually gets. The game really shines in its best moments. I'm just about to start the final mission and it is easily one of the best 3DS games I have played. And I'll keep playing it multiplayer to unlock more medals, character skins, and just have a damn fun time playing!

They should have done a Direct just for this game a week or two before release... really show it off in spades.
