Port teams are going to be a lot smaller then new ip teams. Feels like low-effort stuff to keep the 3DS going without spending much money.

And given how low the Wii U sales are, it's not like there's going to be much crossover in terms of ownership. Not many 3DS owners will have played the games being ported from the WIIU.
