I'm not so sure he doesn't write them. The one liners he posts on Twitter during the show are very similar.

Huh, I just assumed there was some writers in a room somewhere pumping out terrible one liners for lord sugar. If he's actually writing them himself then, well, he should stick to being a businessmen lol.

Rebecca was smart with mentioning the shouting, put pressure on Paul, thought he would snap in the board room.

Also Karthik saved the day for his team otherwise the other pm woukd have been fired.

HAHAHAHA what a twist! They spelt it right the first time!

I was so confused because the subtitles were spelling it 'gilet' yet she was saying that was wrong, so in some ways I was spoiled on the revelation lol

Man both Project Mangers did not have a clue in what they were doing, with Samuel completely losing the plot with his mime art because he thinks that he's creative but really isn't, and the other team purely won because of the other member on the teams and Karthik charming the retail folks.

Also that "We are Crowd Funding" T-shirt on Samuel team was just awful, why wasn't the product name on it in the form of a hashtag.?

Didnt both teams have the same shirts but different colours? This year's crop are awful, not one stand out. Next week the annual apprentice shopping list and given this year's group will be a laugh

I nearly spat my wine across the room when I saw my mate Lucy on the show this week! She's the lady who created the Lumo clothing with her husband, and is an absolute legend. I've known her since we were kids. So I'm pleased that team won. Karthick da boss.

Shame to see JD go. He seemed like a nice bloke, even if he was a shocking PM. Rebecca is a fucking nightmare though.

Looking forward to next week. Love the shopping list task.

Also, Grainne continues to be epically hot.

Pretty much. Normally by this stage somebody stands out at least somewhat. At the moment, Jessica, Karthik (spelling?), Paul, and Gráinne are the only particularly notable ones but even then I don't think there are any I'd label as exceptionally competent and nowhere near what I'd expect many weeks into the show.

EDIT: And yeah JD seemed like a nice guy but definitely needed to go. Samuel was incredibly fortunate this week, as was Sofiane.

I think Grainne is the only particularly promising contender. Everyone else is just aggressive, nuts or shit.

I dunno, last week she got things badly wrong as a pm and this week she did have a point about samuel going wrong but i dont see how her throwing wobblies help. It will again come down to the business plans.

What a useless bunch of idiots, Karthik really stood out on this task, his charisma is quiet something. I don't think he'll win but he seems like a good chap, if a little annoying at times.

SAS jokes get worse and worse, what was that Jay Z joke all about.

I love Claude and Karen, the little looks and comments Karen makes are super sharp.

Karthik needs to learn to talk to his team mates in the same way to talks to the rest of the world. It's like two different people.

Yup, at the start there were a couple of characters I suspected might pull out as the strongest. But everyone is just varying degrees of terrible.

This latest episode was a weird one, it felt short/rushed. A lot of stuff to fit in I suppose. But seriously, how could you do such a poor job of this task.

I was disappointed JD went. I was hoping he'd get to the end, finally ask for a drink of water and his voice suddenly be normal xD

War Peaceman

You're a big guy.
I think Alana is very good, she just doesn't have the alpha temperament. Dillon(sp?) is also solid, but you know he is too eccentric to win.

Karthik needs to learn to talk to his team mates in the same way to talks to the rest of the world. It's like two different people.

His arrogance is such that he only turns on the charm when the other person has some form of power/authority over him (eg. needs them to buy his product).

Yeah he needs to calm down a little, the way he treats members of the public is very good. He can be friendly but I guess that competition environment brings out the worst in everyone.

Sufian was very lucky this week.

I would have bought in Paul and sofiane.

I would fire the PM definetly.

I've occasionally wondered if the PM could ask to bring in a third. Sure, it's not in the rules, but Alan (or presumably, the production team) is perfectly comfortable with playing around with them as required.

In this one you could certainly argue that the dispute between Paul and Sofiane was a big issue, but the right thing to do there would be to bring them both in - at which point, if Alan doesn't agree it's a problem, his only logical target is the PM. Asking permission to bring them both in to effectively represent the failiure on the part of the subteam, but also to bring one other in to highlight another area of failure might not be a bad idea... if you can convince Alan.

On a possibly-related note, we've not yet had any double-firings...

Someone left voluntarily so they have less room to do that now

They're waiting until the double firing will have more of an impact IMO. You don't want to waste a double firing on some people you don't care about in the first few weeks (even if they're shit).

Don't think that's a huge issue, really; because the interview stage is inherently malleable there's a lot of leeway; by my reckoning, I think there's still seven people to be fired over five more episodes prior to interview, which could easily stretch to eight with a four-person interview stage.

Karthik needs to stay in this till the end.

He's definitely made the biggest impression in my eyes that's for sure.

EDIT: Is it me or has iPlayer's fullscreen mode changed recently? Makes the screen flicker black, like when you alt-tab from an exclusive fullscreen game. Getting a lot of screentearing too, which is odd.

Can the teams not use their phones?

This is a pretty terrible idea of business since I'm sure if you gave me a list, I would expect to be able to look up the items and where to get...

...such a failure of a show because it's stuck in the Pre-Internet days.

I wonder what would happen if one of the teams bought a literal bird of paradise #skeletongate

What's a bird of paradise if it's not a tropical bird? I can see Sugar whining about the kid's lenga.

No internet allowed. It's incredibly stupid.

You're missing the point, this task is all about testing their negotiation skills and also their initiative.
If they knew exactly what everything was and the cheapest/average price, then the negotiations would all be completely nonexistent.

I think the idea of this task is to search things using your knowledge and old school skills - just googling these might make it too easy.

I'm enjoying this episode though, seeing them run around London is great.

I think it's quite likely the "loose cannon" quote from the opening is actually referencing Sofianne rather than Karthik as it initially seemed based on his behaviour in this task and last.

Oh, I know the point. It's just the task would never be completed like this in the real world.

Although, if you don't know what a Rambutan is...then ask people!
