Holy crap! Today's real megaton is that more than two people can have the same first name.
So what do we think- are all the Roadhouse scenes otherworldly in nature, or was just this one in particular intended to be?

Jake Rodkin of Idle Thumbs brilliantly suggested that when we see the Roadhouse introduced with a Bang Bang sign upside-down reflected in a puddle, it's not real, whereas when we see the sign directly, it is...

I can't check right now, but is that plausible then? The definitely real scenes with James and Freddie (and I guess Rene) didn't start that way?

Something's really off about the place. They always have the same people standing and watching the gigs too. There's always this one blonde at the front who never moves, or has moved since episode 2. It's actually the same scene inserted in every performance.

For the first time, I kinda want to listen to a podcast talking about last night's episode. Any suggestions?

No podcasts yet. But the Entertainment Weekly podcast, Diane Podcast and Idle Thumbs' Rewatch are my three go tos.

Was anyone else annoyed that in the episode where coop finally returns, and with only two episodes left we had to spend at least 3 minutes watching a whole music performance ?
I'm fine with the music performances being in the show. It's only when they appear at the very end of the episode that I'm annoyed. It's a very anticlimactic way to end an episode.

Man that was good. And reading all the reactions from last night was almost as good as watching the episode.

Couple things:

- I have a STRONG SUSPICION that Cooper had his meeting with the Fireman (seen in Part 1) immediately before waking from his coma. Remember how the Fireman says "You are far away" ? And note how Cooper springs into action and already knows what he needs to do. I also think that "two birds with one stone" might mean "two tulpas with one seed", which is what prompts him to ask MIKE to "make another one".

- I'm confused about the whole coordinates thing. Evil Coop says that three people gave him coordinates. Jeffries and Ray are the obvious ones, and I'm guessing those are the two that matched, because Jeffries wanted Evil Coop to get fried and Ray was working for Jeffries. But who's the third? I would say Diane, but we clearly see her providing the coordinates AFTER Evil Coop sends her the smiley message. Unless she sent him the coordinates earlier, and this is some new string of numbers?

Man, I get bummed out watching this season because Ferrer is doing so great and looks so good.

What a great actor.

Yeah, and he's so present and active in the show that it's really easy to forget that he is dead now. With the Log Lady, the actress's death is as much what her scenes are about as the story itself, but with Albert it's just Albert being Albert. He's done so much to make the FBI scenes entertaining, a great foil for Gordon and the others. It really is a shame - and he wasn't even that old.

Also, returning acts like the Chromatics are dressed exactly the same, despite several episodes passing...

Also that final Audrey scene reminded me of this:

I'm calling that Diane is Cooper's tape recorder that is found in the evidence box.
Diane was never real :O

EDIT:
And bad Cooper raped it by recording over the tapes :O

what if agent Dale Cooper has actually been in a coma ever since he crashed his car on the way to Twin Peaks before the pilot episode :O

a deranged douglas fir did it. The signs have been there

Albert and Gordon both comment on how Diane has changed. So, obviously, they knew the real her.

Funny idea, though.

I need to figure out snacks for the marathon next Sunday. Already have the pie and coffee covered.

Yeah. I'll be picking up some cold brew from our local roasters. It's good stuff. I'm thinking food should be stuff I can just pop in the oven. Maybe some frozen pizzas or something. Haven't had to prepare for something like this before. It's part of the fun!

Twin Peaks The Return: A Season 3 Podcast, and Dark Mood Woods both do it for me (and I listen to too many of them).

I just had some free time on my hands..

So Coop only came back in last night's episode? I haven't watched since the premiere but this sounds like a sick joke on Lynch's part. The new series is by far the biggest disappointment of the year.

Didn't he get them off of Ruth Davenport's body?

How the hell would you know if you haven't watched since the premiere.
