100% Flat Earth Proof

This ones live. You don’t see the panels curving as well?

Just to play devil's advocate I'm going say that they're using a fish-eye lens. :)

Not a flat-earther, but I think flat-earthers for the most part are a tongue-firmly-in-cheek group who like a bit of fantasy in their reality. Who doesn't? Coming up with entirely different conclusions than the rest of the world when presented with the same data is a fun mental exercise. "Yeah, it could be like that, but what if it is really like this?"

Do you realize how much further up the camera would have to be to change the curvature that much between shots?

Yep that’s what fish eye lenses do. Show a wide an angle as possible. Dosent change the mountains of proof the earth is round and the uhhhh limited observations flat earthers have come up with.

If the only visual proof that we have is always distorted then that doesn’t really count as proof does it.
Even if that were true it dosen’t disprove the other mountains of proof you are so happy to ignore. And let’s be real here I used a camera for a living before and have personally used these types of lenses the sheer size of the earth would only be curved ever so slightly. Don’t you ever ask yourself why there is no other visual proof that proves your statement? Especially considering other 3rd party companies have ventured out in space.

They’ve ventured out as far as the sky will allow and that’s it. We can look at the sky and see that the heavens move around us and if there were no one to tell you otherwise that’s what we’d all believe because it’s true. Just as if you’d ask someone where the sun based on just looking at it and feeling it, not relying what they’ve been told in school, they’d tell you it’s directly above us. There are literally no witnesses to whatever space nonsense they give us outside of the stars watching whatever cameras they feel like sending into the sky.

I think you're overthinking
You're probably right. I just can't fathom how people can honestly think the earth is flat. We've flown off of it and onto the moon, mars even. We have satellites that have left our heliopause and flown past other planets. Yet, here they are, post-Aristotle, trying to prove scientific fact wrong.

Who knows. People are weird as fuck. It's actually amazing we've found ways in which we can live harmoniously.

You know that 'theory' that at a molecular level, the state of a molecule/system/atom/thing changes at the precise time a measure is taken so we dont really get a true measurement of the reality?

The flat earthers have an intelligence a league above us. They know that the earth is really flat, but it just becomes a globe everytime a measure of its shape is taken.

I believe our world is round but that doesn't mean I believe NASA or any of these other space programs. I think they're just bullshit made to further rip off our tax money.

So you think that without NASA you'd get a 1.5% discount on your tax?

I mean...there's naivety and there's naivety.

Yeah f*ck NASA, they only made space exploration possible, landed a man on the moon, pioneered satellite technology as well as a whole other slew of modern everyday products. All this on a budget that's less than what your military spends on air conditioning alone:

The amount the U.S. military spends annually on air conditioning in Iraq and Afghanistan: $20.2 billion, according to a former Pentagon official. That's more than NASA's budget.

NASA's technological inventions alone have poured more money into your economy than whatever shoestring budget the U.S. government spends on its space program these days.

You're right we need to cut military funding as well. I believe our government is this inflated monster that needs to be considerably downsized.

It's not the only visual proof.

😂 show me visual proof, not taken from a space station or satellite that proves earth looks like what we’re taught it does. Curvature. Please.

So what do you believe then?

That's actually a bad example. GoPros have some curving of the caused by the lens, you can see it causes an inverse curve once it starts falling down, around 5:53-5:55.

Just as you said, bad proof, curved lense. Is it flat? Is it curved? Is it inverted? 🤷🏾‍♂️

Except that ones already been debunked. Besides, I’m REALLY going to trust the discovery channel. It’s filmed like a damn CSI episode for crying out loud. No space agency junk, no controlled media garbage. Something I can go out an see for and test for myself.

You fool, did you not understand what I was saying? NASA generates more socio-economic benefits through innovation in technology, education, patents and inventions than what your government spends on it. You're literally demanding to shut down a space program that is hugely beneficial to the improvement of your quality of life. Talking about shooting yourself in the foot...

Go on a boat. Watch things disappear over the horizon.

And then bring them right back into view with a zoom lense. Never mind the fact that if that even were the true curve it’d be far too close meaning earth would be insanely tiny compared to what we’re told. Next?

How come no one from GAF has gone out and flown up into space to take pictures with their iphones to put this debate to rest? I know why. You're all a part of the conspiracy.

Earth be a fat, not perfectly round ball of elements and dirt and magma and shit. Give it up. There's no wall at the end of the ocean to keep the water from falling off the edge, because there is no edge.

You wanted to test it yourself. Please do. Post the results.

show me visual proof
You'd dismiss it like you dismiss the others. You are beyond logic, we can't have a discussion.
earth looks like what we’re taught it does.
Look, it's really where you have it all wrong.
I've not been taught Earth is a globe. I've discovered it myself.
I don't believe Earth is a globe. I know it is.

This guy has some pretty good dope. I want some too !

Thanks. I litteraly laughed out loud. Funniest thing I've read today.

I’m asking you a serious question. Never mind what you assume about my logical reasoning.

You are admitting you are lacking perspective ! Are we making progress???

If it’s not possible to view things from the other perspective on our own then it’s not really our perspective now is it.

I'm not surprised people believe this crap. Chem trails, lizard people, pizzagate etc. At least it shows who the morons are.

Everybody already answered your question in this thread. You dismissed everything with illogical thinking. I do not assume anything, I just read what you write here.

Trying to view things from the other perspective is the basis of science.

Talking to a brick wall

I don’t think this is true. That would make it even more faith based than scientists constantly try to claim it isn’t. Since you’re not going to answer my question, I’ll tell you how I came to my conclusion. During one summer I started to pay more attention to the sky because at times the stars would appear brighter than usual. I noticed night after night although they shift a little over time, we constantly see the same stars. If we’re supposedly on a spinning ball that revolves around the sun over the course of a year, while also hurtling through space at some obscene speed, then why are we constantly seeing the same stars? If we’re moving so fast, why do any of the stars remain as pin points of light rather than streaks all over the place? That was just the beginning of it.

You don't understand relative position? The closest star is several lightyears away and our movement relative to any of those stars isn't fast enough to cause a blur from our vantage point.

There are plenty of cool timelapse photos you can look at (or make one yourself) that shows the stars moving across the sky.

See what you did? Others have already answered that in this very thread and you dismiss it. You asked me how I discovered things? How about night photography?
I'm out - once again :p

I’m actually glad you posted that picture although a timelapse shouldn’t be needed to make the stars appear as trails if we’re moving as fast as we are. I understand relative position. It’s like driving down the highway and seeing a mountain far off in the distance appear to move slow. Trouble is the speed that we move around the sun as well as through the galaxy is too fast for any of that to be applicable. Take that time lapse pic. If earth is spinning, and then we’re also orbiting the sun, those trails should look like spirals instead of curved lines.

See what you did? Others have already answered that in this very thread and you dismiss it. You asked me how I discovered things? How about night photography?

Except I just answered that above. NEXT. 👨🏾‍💻
