I've already seen some reviewers bring the game down due to "transphobia". Reading the review made it clear that those "reviewers" went into the game with an agenda in mind.

The bugs and glitches on the other hand, those are legitimate cons and should be addressed if the game is launching like that. But hopefully most of these issues can be fixed soon.

So looks like there are two sides of this release:
- game seems to be pretty awesome
- really buggy though

Wonder how much the day 1 patch will improve things, not sure if I want to play it just after the release. But... I've already took a week off at work.

It has AO and GI, and a very well one at that. It's just hard to have perfect lighting in a full open world title using pre-baked light maps and that is where Raytracing excels.

I don't expect "perfect lighting" ofc It looks like graphics are missing to me, its not just a few items, so many things in the scene look lifeless and flat in a way that other open world games without RTX don't imo. I'll just wait for more comparisons I think, thanks for sharing though, no ire meant towards you.

Here we go scapegoating underwhelming review scores with the high expectations by putting the blame on "muh sjw's" rather than maybe the game actually is not the second coming of christ.

So predictable
I love the shitty posts about not wanting "politics" in thier games or other thinly vield shit posts.

In a game based on the cyperpunk genre. It's pretty funny.

from the ign review: ''It’s a shame that frustratingly frequent bugs can occasionally kill an otherwise well-set mood, ''
I dont get it, you are a god dam reviewer, you know it wil get patched out just like the witcher. Why weigh it in your review? when I read the ign conclusion it sounds like a 10 but they gave it a 9
You think should just ignore it’s flaws with the assumption it’ll get fixed? Why not pressure devs to ship the game unbroken. They can adjust the score later if they want.

Guys guys guys, check out the review thread on Era. They're only allowing negative reviews and it's fucking hilarious. Maybe I'm getting too old ( I'm 27 jesus fucking Christ) but this is world is starting to scare me

Huh ? What? Is this for real?

Only negative review allowed there? Because they hate the game for transphobia?

Holy fuck these peoples are batshit crazy

I mean... Have you seen the polygon review? God dam, it talks 90% about trans shit and then give it a low score..
I'm not surprised at all. Polygon and Kotaku LOVE that stuff. They constantly go off on these weird tangents that hardly have anything to do with the game anymore. Or anything with games period. It's pretty embarrassing to me.
Even with the day 1 patch it's buggy. Oof
None of these reviewers have had access to THAT patch. They received another patch. But that particular patch is not available until launch. The fixes it will have are nothing but an assumption at this point.

They have told reviewers to use their stock footage in videos and won't allow them to use their own until launch and when that patch is available. So, I'm hoping it's because the patch will fix a lot of it, but we'll see.

Why do they make the politics the main aspect of the review then? I'm okay with the 78 from PCGamer because they gave valid reasons, places like Polygon and Gamespot reviewer who gave Anthem 6/10 and Days Gone 5/10

I'm tempted to lock 30 fps on my PC to get that raytraced goodness.
Maybe I'll lock 45 fps since I have a gsync monitor.

Honestly sounds like no one should be giving it more than an 8. Its not a perfect 10 game in the best of circumstances. Probably a 9. But with that many bugs I'd take minimum 1 more point off that as well.

8 would be the top score I'd consider legitimate from what I'm reading.

So glad that i can't even notice the difference in that slider comparison, i'm gonna disable every rtx stuff in the hope of running this thing at 1440p60 with my rig...

I envy you and your:

I won't have RTX as a choice so hope I can do 1440p60 on my GTX 1080 but I am worried because YongYea has said he couldn't keep locked 60 at 1440p on his RTX 3080 :messenger_grimmacing_

As someone who posts also on Resetera, it's absolutely fucking absurd their handling of their allowing people to talk about this game, and I'm pro-trans broadly in my politics

Beyond parody, childish and screamingly obtuse to the point I'm considering coming back here full-time

Yeah I moved from there when that place turned into a dictator land and posting freely or writing your opinion is like walking into a minefield.

You just wholly fabricated some vast conspiracy filled with secretive corporate meetings and roadmap pivots based on your interpretation of 1 or 2 reviews and the paper tiger 'left' that's surely ruining EVERYTHING in your life.

I'm sure the CDPR execs are panicking at their 90 on MC and 91 on OC.

Secretive?
Conspiracy?

Don't say silly things.

It's their job. That's what they are paid to do. The job of an executive is to manage, not to develop the actual game. And scores should definitely reflect the amount of bugs. A severely buggy game hardly deserves a 10/10. Evidently, I expect CDPR to address the bugs in time, like they did with TW3.

But I'm sure CDPR execs are having a blast reading about the copious amount of experience-sabotaging glitches . The Covid party starts tonight at 10, Warsaw time.

As for your buffoonish remarks about the left ruining my life, I'm sorry you had a bad lunch and acid reflux has clouded your judgement. I am specifically addressing Gamespot and Polygon reviews, like I said, both of which mainstream outlets, both of which explicitly citing real-world politics as factors in their scores.

If I remember correctly, Gamespot 10/10 was instrumental in TW3 rising to prominence on forums.

It's not a conspiracy. It's their legitimate right. Gamespot, Polygon or Kotaku have the right to review the game according to their worldview. Their site. Their review. Their criteria. Their score.

And I have the right to pass judgement on the reasons they themselves have cited for the mentioned scores.

Hope your burn eventually goes away.
Try some warm milk with a cinnamon stick.
Will do you wonders.

For avoidance of doubt.

No reviewer has played the version of the game that we will play on day 1

The version we will play will include the day 1 patch , that nobody has played yet, and has been the reason for 2 delays.

The version of the game that reviewers have played is the game at a standard that CDPR didn’t see fit to release to the general public.

There will be improvements, you do not delay a game twice if you can get away with not doing.

91% without those Improvements is monstrous.

I think CDPR should’ve consulted with Feminist Frequency much like Bioware did for Anthem. Game might’ve actually been a success then.

Seriously though, it warms my heart to see that the most hyped game of the year is devoid of the woke pandering garbage that plagues everything nowadays. You just know the dopes over at the other place are burning up inside.

I wanna fucking buy this. I really want to.

But I want to hold out for the next gen patches before I do. Because I know that I will never go back and do a second playthrough. Please don't make us waituntil the summer.

I wish more outlets had multiple reviewers on things like EGM used to do. Every paragraph of this Polygon review is about trans concerns.
Ah yeah! I almost forgot about that, Gamepro did that as well. It was something I definitely appreciated as I got older. I always loved "round table reviews" where a team review the same title, and discuss it. Cause then you get more than just one opinion, so it kind of spreads out to more folks.

The Giant Bomb conversation between Jeff Gerstmann and Bakalar is pretty good right now, though they're almost done.

Kinda sounds like it's a decent game but possibly not quite living up to the hype. Then again it's been hyped to high heaven, it was never going to :p

Buy on PC now, then double dip on console when the patches hit next year.
