They couldn’t use the games audio? Had to use some shitty hip hop loop? 🤮

lol sorry yes it looks not so good on Xbox one and one x. Im sure it will be patched and run fine eventually, but that’s shitty they released it looking like that. People should be able to get their money back or some kind of compensation until it looks the way it’s supposed to

in this thread people with 7 year old hardware moan about having 7 year old hardware.

pc gamers are used to this, upgrade or play at shit fps, no reason for consoles to be immune especially since they are gloififed pcs nowadays, do you not remember GTA3 on ps2? it maxed at 25fps and dropped to 15fps.

there is zero reason to preorder a game before seeing it running on your particular hardware, reap what you sow.

Exactly this.

You have to applaud their boldness. They pulled the biggest bait and switch scam of the software industry masterfully. Keep the real performance hidden for the majority of potential buyers and base reviews and promo videos on high end PCs. Plaster a 92 metacritic score, with the help of the naive reviews media, and boast about 8 million presale to convince a few more uninformed millions in the next 48h.

These guys are good, real good. But they are good at stealing, not programming.

Regardless, if you’re buying any PS4/XO game you shouldn’t have to find out it drops to sub HD resolutions and 10 frames per second before buying it, you should automatically assume that is not the case.

I’m embarrassed CDPR submitted the game in this state and also at Microsoft and Sony for not rejecting it.

X1 had 20-something FPS games (RYSE) and 720p games at launch. In in last few years most TP games were bad/terrible on it. But yeah, they shouldn't release it on X1 consoles at all (or MS should allow X1X only games).

It was to be expected but they shouldn't have sold it if it wasn't working
Yeah, they shouldn't have released what is obviously a next-gen game on last gen systems. I returned my copy this week and will just wait for them to patch the PS5 version and play it in 6 months or so when I get a PS5. Kind of disappointed the CDPR did this.

there is no bait and switch, they never even showed the console versions bar a brief series x video, no one forced people to preorder the game without seeing it first, one and ps4 are 7 years old, its fine on ps4 pro, one x, pc and next gen and it will continue to improve with patches.

I'm not touching any game that isn't optimized for next gen consoles. As it stands it looks like a complete waste of money to me. Easy to avoid until CDPr caters specifically to my next gen needs.

Good guys CDPR know what people expect from a Keanu Reeves dystopia and are giving last gen console players that iconic slow motion action!.

This is the best post I've seen about this subject.

Bravo, sir.

Xbox One makes PS4 version look great lol even at 30fps. Microsoft doesn't believe in generations, luckily CDRED does.

You want to run 2020 technical masterpiece then get proper hardware to run on it or enjoy slideshow fps and stop crying.
according to the videos the PS4 holds up OK, 25+ most of the times and even holds the 30fps quite often. That 15fps street DF found seems to be more of a worst case scenario. With some optimizations CDPR should be able to get that game to rather stable 30fps. Ok, the game looks extremely blurry and most details are missing (too low res) but it should be quite playable. Luckily I got the PS5...

Anyway, the XBox One (s) edition is really really bad and 15-20fps seems to be the norm. In the DF worst cyse street it is probably just a slide show. I guess they have to reduce the resolution even further to get the fps up, making the game look even worse than it is now.

I am surprised that the XBox One X version has low fps too, but I guess that can be healed with some changed settings. The Pro has worse hardware and keeps the 30fps most of the time

I remember Witcher 3 having framerate issue. CDPR patched it. They'll patch Cyberpunk but nobody should expect something magical to happen when it comes to the OG Xbox One. Come one guys...

They probably already are at work atm , fixing all of this. The support for Witcher 3 was outstanding, we should expect no less for this title.

Love how you single out the X1. Like the PS4, Pro and 1X are on a different boat.

The Xbox One is piece of shit hardware and this is a supremely ambitious and huge game. I played tons of titles that ran like junk from PS1 through the 360, it's just how it is. Does anyone remember the original Morrowind on Xbox? That ran like shit and yet was one of the system's best selling and most beloved games.

I understand that studios are more cognizant of making sure the games run better, and that is nice, but ultimately it has a downside. I don't mind a studio choosing to sacrifice performance when it is necessary... especially when we are talking about a game that just came out and hardware that is 7 years old (and wasn't even good on day one).

Is this the console warrior response to this

It looks garbage on base last gen from all gathered examples. Even PS5 and XSX have their issues.

I single out the X1 because it's the least powerful of the bunch by a good margin. I don't think anyone owning the OG Xbox one should expect stable 30fps unless the game were 540p or downgraded heavily. I'm just being honest here.

I wonder how did Sony and MS allowed the game to ship in that state on their platforms? Don't they have quality assurance anymore?
QA is just about that "bureacratic" bullshit nowadays, they don't even play the game, they just analyze package if it has all it takes to release on platform and also if it does not contain something which could damage (from code) system...so API calss and system calls. If everything is alright than they release even buggiest shit.

In light of the massive differences between each versions of the game, I tried to remember if it already happen for another game, but I couldn't.

Does someone have another example in mind? The rule is that is only apply to a simultaneous launch of a game on varied platform, not ports months or years later, and you have to consider the initial leading platform the game was created for, and don't throw Game boy versions in here obviously that doesn't count.

I kinda sorry for people who bought it on last gen... But I also kinda happy that it's a proper PC centric game xD
There is nothing wrong with that, PC guys get shit ports all the time but I think it's shitty of them to have released this game on console in this state. They should of just released PC version and waited for console versions to be acceptable.

Well, if you watch the video at x2 speed, the Xbox One version is almost a solid 30 fps :messenger_grinning:

Watch the video. The Xbox One is on a league of its own in terms of bad performance with this game.

Of course I can't speak for OP's intentions, but saying the Xbox One version is a literal slideshow, even compared to the other versions, is pretty factual IMHO. Also, it has been 7 years, these machines are dated, the power debate around them is dead, and everybody knows and has made their peace a long time ago with the fact that the base PS4 is more capable than the base Xbox One.

We're at a point in the lifecycle of the current consoles where releasing such a mess is on the developers, not the hardware, because what the heck were they expecting when they calibrated the game's tech.

Absolutely disgraceful.

The game also looks like a blurry mess on PS4 and One. Weirdly enough, it runs better on that driving section on PS4 base than it does on One X!

Edit: also in that shooting scene. Hmm.

EDIT 2: From this video every single scene seemed to perform better on PS4/PS4Pro than XBO/XOX.

17fps. Last time I saw that was in Ocarina of Time on PAL N64. But I think that might’ve been locked 17fps. :/

Yikes. I think they need to be more aggressive with the low end of resolution scaling on Xbox One. Usually “unplayable” is a hyperbole, but that’s pretty dang bad

This is just downright incompetence from the devs at this point, not a just a time/polish issue. They choose to make the Xbox One version have better graphics than PS4!? What were they thinking? Of course it's going to play like shit, even in the few areas where the PS4 manages to hold the framerate.
